The 12-week sweepstakes will award a total of 40 lucky grand prize winners a “double tax refund” cash prize equivalent to the value of the winner’s federal tax refund, with a maximum match of $15,000, and a minimum prize of at least $1,500. Additionally, each week, 40 runner-up entrants will be randomly selected to win $400. In total, the nation’s second largest tax preparation service is giving taxpayers the opportunity for a chance to win thousands of dollars this tax season.

Eligibility: US, 18+, who have electronically filed their federal tax return within the Sweepstakes Period and the return was acknowledged by the IRS.
Dates: January 9, 2023 – April 12, 2023 at 11:59 pm ET
Entry Limit: one entry per person
Method #1: Filing Your Tax Return with Jackson Hewitt: Any person who files their 2022 federal tax return at a Jackson Hewitt location within the Sweepstakes Period will automatically receive one entry into the Sweepstakes for the corresponding Entry Period noted in the Entry Period Chart below based on the date the tax return was filed by Jackson Hewitt.
Method #2 Mail-In Entry: To enter the Sweepstakes without filing your tax return with Jackson Hewitt, you may mail in an entry, with your name, the date on which your Federal tax return was filed, stated as “Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/23” (YOU MUST STATE THE EXACT DATE YOU FILED YOUR TAXES for purposes of identifying eligibility for the applicable Entry Period), complete postal address, email address and phone number, in a #10, business envelope with proper postage to:

You must also include your Federal Return Filing Date on the envelope stated as: “Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/23” (YOU MUST STATE THE EXACT DATE YOU FILED YOUR TAXES for purposes of identifying eligibility for the applicable Entry Period). Each envelope must be postmarked by the Monday immediately following the date your Federal Tax Return was filed and must be received by the Mail-In Entry Received By Date indicated in the Entry Period chart below, to be eligible for that Entry Period drawing. Entries that do not include your Federal Tax Return Filed on the envelope or contain all the information requested, will be disqualified from entry.
Grand Prizes are intended to be awarded: For Entry Periods 1 through 8 there will be three Grand Prize winners per each Entry Period, and for Entry Periods 9 through 12 there will be four Grand Prize winners for each Entry Period,
Grand Prizes (40): amount matching his/her Federal Tax Refund up to $15,000, subject to verification, but in no event less than $1,500.
Runner-up Prizes (480 – 40 per entry period): $400 to be issued in the form of a check
Prizes will be awarded if properly claimed according to these Official Rules and will be sent within approximately 45 days after the winner is verified.
