Wow I need these appliances. We remoddled our home 13 years ago and bought what we thought was high end appliances; boy were we wrong. The Jen Air Ref has been a pain since we bought it; the ice maker really never worked correctly until last year and we would could home and water would be running all over our kitchen; we have had it serviced many times; out of frustration my husband tore it apart on his own and got the ice maker to work and so far no more water but now it freezes the vegetables. My husband says we are not replacing it till it completely quits. The Maytag double over stove never bakes anything correctly; and the Kitchen-aid dishwasher does a terrible job of cleaning my dishes; I have to prewash everything before I run it. So frustrating; we went to a kitchen store that sells many brands and took their advise; so sorry about that. I love to cook and this is such a pain. My husband and I are both retired so replacing these probably isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

My house was built in 1976. The one piece double oven/range was originally installed: only one oven works, the bulb over the range isn’t made anymore, two burners don’t work and the small oven that works has terrible temperature control for baking. My refrigerator is one that my friend bought in 1986 and had in her garage; she gave it to me when mine went out. The dishwasher was given to me from another friend when they upgraded. I don’t have a built-in microwave. Also have a 1976 trash compactor that I love to use for cans, plastic bottles and papers for recycling. I want to replace my old kitchen cabinets but cannot afford cabinets and appliances.

My husband and I purchased our home almost one year ago and need new appliances. We are both young professionals trying to start our new life in our new home, and since we live in Vermont our main focus has been energy efficiency and to cut down heating costs due to our cold winters. With trying to work overtime in attempt to make our house energy efficient, our dream kitchen and appliances was definitely put on the backburner.
I spend most of my nights working overnight in a busy Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse, and my husband spends his overnights patrolling our community as a Police Officer to assure we are all safe. We both have mentally and physically exhausting professions so winning new LG appliances to brighten things up for us would be amazing. VT doesn’t make the map for contest winners often as I get often, “what state is VT in?” So it would be great to have a VT winner 😉

I would love to win the appliances. I have never had new appliances, especially a dishwasher. My husband and I are both retired and in our 60’s. Our house was built in the 70’s. Our kitchen needs to be renovated which we cannot do at this time or ever but I believe new appliances would make it look better. I understand the winner will be very lucky. I will be extremely happy for that lucky person or persons. Thank you,

Our present kitchen appliances are 27 years old. The oven door handle falls apart when we open the door. Our refrigerator ice maker no longer works. It leaked & ruined the floor in out kitchen which we had to replace. Our washer & dryer are 23 years old. We have to put dumbells on top of the washing machine to keep it from shaking too much during the spin cycle. With 2 kids in college we are praying daily that nothing goes…as we can’t afford to replace anything…help! We could REALLY use new appliances.

This would be a TRUE DREAM COME TRUE if I won!!
I am a single disabled mother of 3. I have surgeries often because of infections. I had my last surgery last week. Not only do I have to deal with that, I am dealing with repairing my home which was hit by Hurricane Sandy. I got divorced in 2008 snd decided to keep it becsuse it’s a mother daughter and I can rent out part of it to help with the mortgage. The kitchen is extremely outdated. Old old old appliances. So that affects the amount of the rent I can get. Hurricane Sandy didn’t help either. I have been doing repairs but things keep goung wrong. I have been told that an addition, my family room, which I have repairef about 70% now must be knocked down. It’s structurally unstable. As for a washer and dryer. Yeah right. When transformers blew up they took my electric stackable dryer with it. My insurance didn’t cover personal property. So I am at the mercy of friends to wash and dry my clothes because I can’t afford to go to a laundry mat. I sm also living with no heat. My crawl space in full of mold. Since I suffer from chronic infections I can’t take s chance. In a time when things are not so good, winning this will put me in a better happier place. It will take some pressure off of me.
So please vote for me. A little help for me will go a long long long way!

Holy smoke…I did not realize a kitchen renovation could be so expensive. After getting new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and a hoodless vent, everything else had to remain in its place. My black and white glass top stove was given to me by sister-n-law…the glass door had spiderwebs in it. For sure I thought that I would have spiders not only in the oven but taking up residence in my kitchen. I often wonder whether I served someone surprise arachnids in my casserole dish. My refrigerator is a white hand-me-down from by younger brother which fell off the truck. Needless to say, he lost some of the trays and the door handles. The icemaker does not work and the unit that should release cold water to drink is filled with frosted snow that causes the freezer door to stick. I don’t have a dishwasher…that’s my job. The washer and dryer does not match. My tiny washing machine have to receive a little assistance to get through the spin cycle. I have to manually lift and spin the inside unit to get the water to spin out of the clothes. Although it works, my dryer has a beat of its own and is covered in rust. I desperately need to meet the appliances of my dreams…and perhaps we will be a match made in heaven.

I also didn’t see the question, but it would be amazing to win any of these prizes. I just recently purchased an older home (built in 1962) with very dated appliances. I have been working hard at attempting to update the house, but as we know that can be quite expensive. Winning any one of these prizes would be so helpful making this old house into a home.

Before my mother and aunt passed away they told me whatever money they left me was to be used to renovate my house so that after I retire I would be in the home I would live in for the rest of our (my husband and I) lives. Well, I did it and when I was about finished Hurricane Sandy hit. All our new high end appliance (not even used or hooked up yet) were ruined, Our new hardwood floors in the entire house – ruined, our new top load washer and dryer – ruined, our new cabinets in the kitchen and master bath – ruined, our new tile floors – ruined and needless to say all our furniture and most of our clothing – ruined. We lost our cars also. Don’t let the government fool you. There are so many people that still have not moved back into their houses. We were told they ran out of money before they got to us. We now have to tear down our house (full of mold and can not be raised to FEMA standards) and build new. We are retired and did not think we would have to start all over again at our age. Please let me win the appliances!!!! I WANT TO GO HOME!!!!!!

I would like to own these appliances since all I have is a microwave oven. I need to remodel my kitchen due to an attic fire 4 years ago and have not had the money . It still is untouched and I do not have the income and trying to get my kitchen fixed but won’t have money to buy the appliances .please help me!

My husband and I just bought a house and the appliances aren’t exactly the best. We don’t have a microwave in the house at all and the fridge is breaking. We are a single family income and my husband is in law enforcement and doesn’t make a ton of money so to win these would be a huge blessing and help us out so much.

We bought our home in 1987. It was to be our starter home. It was built in 1967. We’ll, we are still in the home and have raised two beautiful daughters here. I have the original stove oven combination from Frigidare. This stove has a retractable stove top that disappears. It was the stove on Meet The Jetesons cartoon, the stove of the future. So, it is 46 years old. I think I need a new LG kitchen. What a great treat it would be to cook with even burners and a full size oven. I could cook my first turkey in my oven and not in a roaster for the holidays. Thank you. Wendy

I could use any new appliances. After a year, I’m still displaced from my home due to Sandy!! I have to rebuild and it would be awesome if I won all or some appliances!

I am 67 years olf. My kitchen is 25 years old. I love to cook for my family and friends. I would like to have my kitchen updated so I could enjoy cooking as much as I used to. My dishwasher doesn’t work Myany more. My built-in oven is about worn out, and I am afraid my refrigerator is so old it might quit any rime. My surface units have definitely seen better days. Winning these appliances would really be a blessing to me.

In 2008, I purchased a 1911 Dutch Colonial home. The kitchen came complete with a broken dishwasher, a stove with two working jets and a black refrigerator that the previous homeowner and I fought over at the last minute. He suddenly decided that he wanted it, which would have left my sons and I with no refrigerator. I stood my ground and ended up with the appliance that was just about to self-destruct. The shelves and drawers balance precariously and periodically fall out.
I purchased a new stove and a new dishwasher. The dishwasher worked for about seven loads and then started flashing “clean”, cannot be reset and the manufacturer, not LG, has been no help. My intention was to extend the counter top, since there was so little useable counter space, so I purchased a stove smaller than the hole to gain about eight more inches.
About a year after purchasing the home, I lost my job. I was unemployed for over two years and finally went back to work in October of 2011. I have spent the last two years trying to catch up with all the expenses that fell by the wayside as a result of my unemployment.
Winning new appliances that actually work as intended would be a dream come true for my family and myself.
Thank you for considering my entry.

I am a 48 year old female and I have never brought any appliance since I’ve been on my own, I want to upgrade my appliance but can’t afford it I have gone to sears and put a stove on layaway and end up not being able to get it off so that failed and now I’m unemployed because the state that I live in laid off over 915 employee and I was one of the 915 but Life’s Good … my appliance is over 15 years old but they are in working conduction but I still would love to upgrade my appliance for a change..
