There’s a Healing Field in West Michigan but I don’t see any pictures on their site without flags on the poles. It also says they has 3200 flags all on 8ft poles for the 10th anniversary of 9/11/01.
OIL says
I really have a strong feeling that it’s located in Michigan.
OIL says
I mean Wisconsin.
Jay says
maybe some kind of VFW pavillion? somewhere..I don’t know 🙁
OIL says
I think it’s flag park Wisconsin.
Harry says
I think it may be Richland Center, WI Veterans Memorial Park
OIL says
Omg for 08/02 only 4 people got the right answer.
I call this crazy.
Charles T. says
Well now that we know what and where it is (and I was close 🙂 ), I want to see if anyone can actually find an image online to verify the 08/01 picture. I suspect he was just testing us with that picture. But at least 4 local Legion members figured it out 🙂 Well played, Daniel Terdiman!
Jay says
I thought it might be a VFW Post somewhere, but I wasn’t about to look through all the states,,,way too many. This stumped alot of people, except the 4 from Wisconsin I guess!
KSS says
The 4 were probably local Legion members or lived next door! Well done to them.
debbiek55 says
I hope today’s picture is easier. I couldn’t even find a picture to verify when I had the correct answer this morning. Thanks to everyone on the thread for working so hard even if we didn’t get the answer!
KSS says
Egads, more flag poles. Probably Dayton.
OIL says
Here’s another pic I found looks similar but don’t know if this is it.

OIL says
Anybody find any clues for 08/02?
OIL says
For 08/02 this is a very good picture to match! Can someone verify it for me please.

Harry says
This looks more and more like the entrance to fairgrounds. There are a lot of counties in those states!
Steve D says
Entrance to a:
Cemetery?
Military Base?
Government Facility?
OIL says
It’s a possibility this photo can be located in Wisconsin.
I’m not sure…
OIL says
It might be in Wisconsin.
KSS says
Military Base or Gov’t Research Facility sounds logical.
Harry says
Is that SANTA on a banner on the right?
Steve D says
Just some random thoughts…
With all the American Flags it would seem to be something government related.
The entrance way has a low clearance…bases I’ve been on do not have that….they need an open top entrance so tall military related vehicles can come through.
Research facility?
debbiek55 says
I don’t know about the SANTA but it looks like there is an aqueduct/ bridge over to the left side of the pic. Some sort of ‘Riverwalk’?
Also I tried searching for the yellow circle with the red dot in the middle that is on the tower. I think it’s a logo for something…
Charles T. says
I suggest we concentrate searching for that clock tower since it’s the most prominent and unique thing in the 08/02 picture.
Charles T. says
…and there it is: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/5542074 . One of the pictures below is shows the 08/02 image road with the flags on it here: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/5542067. I’m gonna do a Google street view to verify.

OIL says
Good Job Charles and everyone else.
I can’t believe you guys pulled that one off.
Thanks!
Charles T. says
Sorry for the double post. I got that “awaiting moderation” and I thought it would disappear on me. In any case, I verified that the 08/02 image matches this one: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/5542067 (on the other side of the sign, of course). And there is actually an overhead map on the right hand side you can use to zoom down on it too. If you zoom in on the 08/02 image, you can see the white water from the water fountain in the background in between the flags.
Jay says
Great find! I enjoy flags, even have one on my house, but I must say, I was getting tired eyes from searching all day. Thanks so much. I wonder if Dan T. thought he stumped us all again!! Much luck to all 🙂
Steve Dadolf says
Charles T – Great idea concentrating on the clock tower. Congratulations.
debbiek55 says
Awesome work Charles! Congratulations on your find.
Steve D says
How about this?

Harry says
An easy one after two killers!
Jay says
Gonna post early so we don’t have to look hard today. this is the Dymaxion House at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. http://www.hfmgv.org/museum/index.aspx enjoy the weekend!
OIL says
Awesome thanks!
debbiek55 says
Thank you!!

August 4th Photo:
Converted Power Plant building?
I see a couple of old logo type items on the side of the building…like a pic of an “electrical charge”?
OIL says
Could be located in Michigan?
harry says
Not necessarily “converted.” I was thinking a rapid transit electric substation. Chicago El came to mind, but no photo came up. Strictly commercial, no fancy entrance, a plain garage door. Tall enuf for generators.
OIL says
Corporate building?
OIL says
This looks similar.

OIL says
Any luck on fininding an answer for 08/04?
Jay says
I’m looking. it looks like the top has been photo shopped so we can ‘t see what might be on there. there doesn’t seem to be parking leters on the side where the cars are parked. I don’t see any type of major entrance, so this may be to side or back. I don’t know what it could be or where it could be!
Charles T. says
Jay: Yeah I noticed that marking at the top of building was removed too. I think if we find out what those two vertical symbols represent on either side of the 3 dark windows on the lower part of the building, we might have a better idea what we are dealing with here.
Jay says
I see shades pulled down in some windows. I can’t make out what the symbols are. I can zoom in with the IPad, but its too distorted. And why are the windows on the upper level? prison or jail maybe? lol…just throwing it our there!!
Steve D says
I thought of the prison or jail as well, but it seemed to me that the “bars” on the window look like decoration, and seem to be too far apart to keep anyone inside from getting out.
