8 Tips to Winning Sweepstakes and Contests Consistently

Always Follow the Rules!

Make sure you read the Official Rules. Unless the contest or sweepstakes is run by a mom and pop company or an individual there should be a link to the official rules on the entry form page. Sometimes the rules are on the same page so make sure to look for them. If the official rules say one entry per person then do not enter again. There are “real” people behind the sites you are entering and they will be watching to make sure you follow the rules. If you an ineligible because of age, where you live, or anything else in the rules, do not enter.

Enter As many times as you are allowed

Now that you have read the official rules, if it says you can enter daily then by all means, enter daily. If you are entering online sweepstakes then entering daily is a good idea and doesn’t cost you anything except for your time. If you are entering by mail you will need to know how much you can spend on stamps to enter alot of times.

Enter for prizes you want to win

Don’t enter a sweepstakes just to enter and get something free. You should enter to win prizes you can use, need, or can give away to a family member or friend. This is such a personal issue so I will leave it at that.

Install a Form Filler program to make entering faster

Using a program such as RoboForm can save you time when entering online. It stores all of your personal data like name, address, phone, and email address. The form filler pops up when it recognizes a form on a page. Then you can just double-click on your name from the list. You might have to fill out some information manually if the person who created the entry form doesn’t have it setup to standards. And, it will not fill out forms that are flash driven but overall this is definitely a must for anyone entering contests and sweepstakes on a regular basis.

Enter at least one time if you are at all interested

There has been much discussion about whether to have lots of entries into a few giveaways or one entry into many giveaways. I do both depending on my time. The more giveaways you enter the better chance you will win something. If you have time enter more if the official rules allow.

Enter short-ending sweepstakes for better odds

If you happen to stumble upon a short ending promotion then enter it immediately. One-day and one-week promotions are a good beat for winning consistently. They receive less publicity, are harder to find, and less people will be entering so when you come across one you know you have a gem.
