    Dear Ellen and Staff,

2020 has been a hard year for so many. I work in education and I would love to get some entries and if I was to win I would share with my students in need. WE have so many kids this year that are struggling with trying to learn on line and keep a roof over their head. What is nice is that our district is able to pay for some of them to get free internet from some time so they can continue to learn. There is such a need for so many this year and I want to spread the kindness. I just bought blankets to sew for kids for Christmas. It is a small way to help and was lucky to get them on sale. WE are hoping for a Christmas Miracle and hoping when we deliver our gifts that there will some extra gifts this year from someone who we all know has an amazing and caring heart. Thank you Ellen and staff for this opportunity to help us support our students in our community who are really in need. We have been getting students to help get donations of food for next week for Thanksgiving and so many have stepped forward with something for some of their classmates. It has really heart warming to see the love in these kidsheats wanting to support those in need. Thanks again for this opportunity and what you do to support humanity. Your all amazing people and give yourself a pat on back for what you do to support so many people. WE are grateful for this opportunity and we know there are so many in need. We are hoping this note will find it in your heart to give us some additional entries for your 12 days of Christmas which we will donate to our kids in need.

With kindest and warmest regards, Cherise Arthur

Ellen, Please don’t forget about the Emergency Department in the Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, NY. the epicenter of the epicenter for the COVID-19. This team of emergency workers were on the front lines day after day. I know because our Daughter Nicole is a Physician Assis in this hospital in the emergency department. We did not see our daughter for months due to COVID. They were warriors, battling lines that wrapped around the corner, so much death to where freezer trucks outside became a norm outside. The hospital is a are in a poor neighborhood but the staff in the emergency room at Elmhurst treat every patient as if they were there own family members. I know this because this is my daughters philosophy. When you treat a patient, they are someone’s mother, father, sister, brother uncle aunt cousin and they could be mine. Respect and dignity for everyone that enters the emergency department.

  5. My sister Kathy had a horrible year, she had a mass in her brain and they removed it leaving her with alot of difficulties. Her speech and balance are off and she is so depressed due to this. I need to make her happy again and win this for her. I live in Florida and she lives in Pa. I don’t get to see her much but we could go together and celebrate, Please consider us for this trip to see Ellen

  6. Happy holidays ellen, I have had a fairly hard journey dealing with the pandemic. I am trying to stay in holiday spirits as well as feeling sick from this situation. But my instincts will not give in to how others perceive you to be. I have given to rganizations that I felt would help those who needed the most. But how do you keep up your health and stigma when sometimes you cannot.

  8. Dear Ellen,
I’m sure you must get a lot of these “letters”, and mine is no different. I am writing to you about my best friend, Bonnie. Bonnie and I have been friends since we were 14 & 15 years old, both in our 50s now. I am writing to you in hope that we might win your 12 days so perhaps she might be able to get a car. Bonnie has has a rough year this year as she had to have a kidney out and can no longer walk long distances to get around. I live about 40 minutes from her so I don’t get over there much. Giving Bonnie a car would enable her to drive to her doctor appts and such, maybe even come here to see me! So, you see by helping my friend you would also be helping our friendship grow even more! And maybe, just maybe her and I “would have to fly out there and drive back” in order to receive the car, leading us to our cross country trip we always dreamed of as teens. Thanks for taking the time to read. Have a very merry Christmas! Peace n Love
