Say thank you to a special teacher for everything they’ve done by nominating them for @Staples #ThankATeacher contest! This year, the contest will award 20 standout teachers $5,000 in Staples Gift Cards to help stock up their classroom. Nominations are open now through September 12.
Official Rules: US, 18+. July 26 – September 12, 2020 at 11:59 pm ET. One entry per person per day.
During the Contest Period, enter via the website or Twitter and/or Instagram, as instructed below and you could win a prize for a school where the teacher mentioned in your Entry has taught. Schools must be an accredited K-12 school located in one of the 50 United States or Washington, D.C. Home schools are not eligible.
Important! Prizes will only be awarded to schools; entrants or teachers do not have the opportunity to win a prizes.
Website: visit staples.com/thankateacher and complete the entry form including submitting your statement and uploading an (optional) photo or video that describes how a teacher went above and beyond in 2020.
Twitter: Tweet a statement and optional photo or video that describes how a teacher went above and beyond in 2020, including the hashtags #ThankATeacher, #contest and mention @StaplesStores to receive one entry into the Contest.
Instagram: Using your web-enabled mobile device, post a statement and optional photo or video that describes how a teacher went above and beyond in 2020, including the hashtags #ThankATeacher, #contest and mention @StaplesStores to receive one entry into the Contest.
Limit one Entry per day per website and Social Media Platform account; however, Entries submitted to the website or the same Social Media Platform on a different day must consist of a unique Entry. Duplicate submissions will be disqualified. A person may only enter using one of each Social Media Account per day.
Judging Criteria: Adherence to Contest Theme (40%); Persuasiveness of Entry (40%); Originality and Creativity (20%).
Grand Prizes (20): $5,000 in Staples Gift Cards for use by the winning school. Staples Gift cards do not expire but are subject to restrictions.
Taxes related to the prizes are the responsibility of the School.
