Official Rules: open to US, DC, (excluding Alaska, Hawaii), 18 and older. Begins on October 18 and ends on October 24. One entry per person.
As part of your Entry, you will be required to submit: a photo, and an essay of 500 words or less on the following theme: Tell us about you or your family’s favorite Halloween costume! Photo must have been taken by you. Your Statement must be original (that is, written by you) and must be submitted in the English language as part of your Entry to enter and be eligible for the Contest. If any minors appear in Photo, the entrant must be that minor’s parent and/or legal guardian. Professional Photos with watermarks are not eligible.
Judging Criteria: Originality (50%) and Creativity (50%). Each Finalist will advance to Round 2:
Public Voting to Determine Winner: Beginning on or about October 25, 2017, the Finalists’ Entries will be posted on the Website in a randomized manner for public viewing and voting. On or about October 25, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. ET until October 25, 2017 at 11:59 P.M. ET, or on such other dates and at such other times as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion, visitors to the Website may vote for his or her favorite Finalist according to Judging Criteria, voting rules, and procedures established by the Sponsors, which will be posted on the Website. Voting is currently limited to one (1) vote per person, per day during the Voting Period, but Sponsors reserve the right to change the limit on the number of votes, in their sole discretion.
One (1) Grand Prize: round trip economy class air transportation for Winner and up to three guests from a major commercial airport near Winner’s home to a major commercial airport in or near Orlando, FL; three nights standard hotel accommodation (one room, quadruple occupancy, room and tax only) at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort or at another on-site hotel for Winner and Guests; non-exclusive ground transportation to and from Orlando Airport and Hotel for Winner and Guests; four 3-Day 3-Park Park-to-Park tickets for admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme parks and Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park, for Winner and Guests; four General Admission tickets to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 2018 for Winner and Guests; and four (4) admission tickets to a Blue Man Group Show (exact date and time to be determined by Prize Provider in their sole discretion) for Winner and Guests. NOTE: Travel period must coincide with the 2018 Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights event dates in order to partake in the Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights elements of the Prize. 2018 event dates are currently TBD. Winner may choose a travel period outside of the Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights event dates (with Prize Provider approval) but in doing so will forfeit the Halloween Horror Nights General Admission Tickets without further or alternative compensation. Trip must be completed by November 10, 2018 or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety without further or alternative compensation.
