Starting January 4th, Nestle will launch a new RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program and sweepstakes. For each valid Sweepstakes entry, Nestle will make a $.10 donation to Reading Is Fundamental, up to a maximum of $250,000,

Entry Dates: begins on January 4, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 28, 2013.

Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years and older

Look for a Promotion Code inside specially marked packages of NESTLÉ CRUNCH, BUTTERFINGER, BABY RUTH, 100 GRAND, BUTTERFINGER CRISP, NESTLÉ CRUNCH CRISP, BABY RUTH CRISP, WONKA LAFFY TAFFY®, NERDS and SWEETARTS fun size, minis and mix up bags and 6-, 8- and 12-packs.

Each valid Promotion Code entered is valid for one entry into the then current Sweepstakes Period. For FREE entry without a Promotion Code, see Mail-In entry section below.

  4. It says you can enter once daily online. But it does not say how many times you can enter by mail. Is it the same, once daily?

  9. The free code request form ( is not working as of Feb 3rd– at least for me it’s not. I’ve tried on 3 different computers and also on different browsers. Emailed Nestle website as the email address they normally send out free codes with cannot receive emails.

    The rules for this new RIF sweeps does not mention being able to get free codes online, only by mail-in. Wonder if they finally realized the old, online free code request was still available and tried to disable it or if it’s just a server maintenance issue.

  10. I got a reply to my email to Nestle, they have disabled the online free code request page for the 2012 RIF sweeps. You can only request free codes via mail for this year’s sweeps. Oh well, some of us got a few weeks of free entries in before they disabled the online form.

    “Thank you for contacting Nestlé®. … We apologize for the inconvenience, however for the 2012 Nestlé Share the Joy of Reading Promotion; free codes are not available by email…”

  11. I have typed in my code and have received the response of, you must type in a valid code.

    • I have typed in numerous codes and every time i receive an error message that says i must type in a valid code…. UGH!!!!

  13. I have been trying to enter the code i got and nothing! it keeps telling me enter a valid code! but i did!! i ate those nestle crunch bars and it’s the codes i got in it but it wont accept !!! 🙁 sucks i think i will just trash my trash lol

  16. I really think it is a scam to get your phone number and get unwanted phone calls.
