I’m ready to write the essay, but I don’t actually see a contest prompt or any details about what the essay should be about. The “Comment *” field appears to be a placeholder without the actual question or topic.
Could you share what the contest is asking Carolyn to respond to? For example, is it asking why she wants to win a prize, what a product means to her, how something has impacted her life, or something else entirely? Once I know what the prompt is actually asking, I can write something genuine and fitting for her.
Hey! So, I’m Morgan Farris, and I’m a graphic designer living in the little community of Irishtown, New Brunswick, with my spouse. Life out here is honestly pretty sweet — there’s something about small-town living that keeps you grounded, even when work gets busy and the creative projects start piling up.
As a graphic designer, I spend a lot of my days staring at screens, tweaking colors, playing with layouts, and trying to make ideas come to life visually. It’s work I genuinely love, but it also means I really appreciate the moments when I get to step away from the computer and just enjoy real life with the people around me.
Irishtown might not be the flashiest place on the map, but it’s home, and there’s a warmth here that’s hard to find anywhere else. My husband and I have built a really good little life here, and honestly, any chance to add something exciting to that life is something I’m jumping at with both hands.
That’s kind of why I couldn’t pass up entering this contest. Sometimes the best things come from just throwing your name in the hat and seeing what happens, right? Fingers crossed!
I’m not sure what contest prompt or topic you’d like me to write about — the “Comment *” field doesn’t include the actual question or theme Carolyn is supposed to respond to.
Could you share a bit more about what the contest is for? For example, is it about a favorite product, a personal story, a local cause, a recipe, a travel experience, or something else? Once I know what Carolyn is commenting on or entering for, I can write something that feels genuine and fits her voice perfectly.
Hey! So I’m Morgan Farris, a graphic designer living in the little community of Irishtown, NB, with my spouse. Life out here is pretty wonderful honestly — there’s something about small-town New Brunswick that just gets into your bones in the best way possible.
My days are filled with creative work, which I genuinely love. Being a graphic designer means I get to solve problems visually, and there’s nothing quite like that moment when a design finally clicks into place. It keeps my brain busy and my coffee consumption high, that’s for sure.
Outside of work, my husband and I love just being part of this community. Irishtown is one of those places where people actually know their neighbors, and that means everything to me. We’ve built a really good life here, and I feel lucky for that pretty much every day.
I’m entering this contest because honestly, who couldn’t use a little extra good news in their life, right? I figured why not throw my name in and see what happens. I’m a big believer that you miss every shot you don’t take, so here I am, taking my shot! Fingers crossed and grateful for the opportunity.
I’m ready to write the essay, but I notice the contest prompt just says “Comment *” without any actual question or topic to respond to. Could you share what the contest is actually asking about? For example, is it asking why you want to win a particular prize, what something means to you, how a product or experience has impacted your life, or something else entirely?

I never imagined that staying home could feel like the most purposeful work I’ve ever done, but here in Irishtown, that’s exactly what it’s become. My days are shaped around the people I love most — my husband and our family — and there’s a quiet dignity in that I’ve come to deeply appreciate.
It wasn’t always easy to embrace this role. There were moments when I questioned whether I was contributing enough, doing enough, being enough. But over time I’ve learned that the work happening inside a home — the meals, the conversations, the steady presence — ripples outward in ways that are hard to measure but impossible to overlook. A calm household creates calm people, and calm people make a better community.
Living in a small place like Irishtown has reinforced that belief. Neighbors know each other here. People show up for one another. And I think the foundation of all that connectedness gets built at the kitchen table, in the everyday moments that don’t make headlines but absolutely make lives.
I’m proud of what I do and who I do it for. This season of my life has taught me more about patience, love, and purpose than anything else ever has.
