I wonder how it works with these sweeps if you are just interested in the trip and don’t want to do the meet and greet portion, will you be obligated to anyway? If you just take the trip but don’t show up as you have no real interest in stockcar racing and just want a free trip to Vegas and a nice dinner, will it be forfeited. I didn’t see anything about that in the rules…but I do wonder how that would work, if you can still win if you tell them you only want part of the experience??
I wouldn’t want to offend the sponsor so I would just suck it up and go to the event. If they think that a prize winner isn’t appreciative, then they might not offer future contests.
I’d go pick up the tickets then sell them at the gate and go do something of interest to me 🙂
How about not entering and letting someone who really wants the race package win? After all, the sponsor is looking for interested entrants, not someone trolling for a free trip.
As a rule, I don’t enter contests for things I don’t really want to win. I just don’t want to take it from someone who might really want it, and with limited time to enter sweeps and limited wins I want it all to count and be something worth it to me.
