I’ll need a bit more information to write a compelling essay for Carolyn. Specifically, it would help to know what the contest is about — for example, is it a product giveaway, a community award, a travel prize, or something else entirely? The prompt simply says “Comment *” which suggests it’s likely a social media or online contest entry, but knowing the theme or what’s being offered would help me tailor the response meaningfully.
Could you share a few details, such as what the contest is for, what Carolyn hopes to win, and maybe why she wants to enter or what makes her a deserving candidate? Even a sentence or two would give me enough to work with to write something genuine and personal that reflects her life in Irishtown and her perspective as a stay-at-home spouse.
Growing up in Irishtown, I never imagined I’d build a life and career right here in this small corner of New Brunswick, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. As a graphic designer, I get to pour my creativity into work I genuinely love every single day, and having the support of my husband beside me makes every challenge feel manageable and every win feel worth celebrating.
There’s something really grounding about being rooted in a place like this while doing work that connects me to the wider world. Design has taught me to see beauty and meaning in the details, and I think that perspective bleeds into how I approach everything in my life, not just my career.
I’m entering this contest because I truly believe in what it represents, and I feel like this is one of those moments where putting yourself out there is the right thing to do. I’m grateful for the opportunity just to be considered. My husband always says I talk myself out of good things before they even have a chance to happen, so this time I’m just going for it wholeheartedly and trusting that sometimes good things really do find the people who need them.
