What does string mean on the entry form
Not a clue. Wish I did!
String.. cheese? That’s what I put! My link: https://wn.nr/AjMYdD
Okay – after a couple of facebook exchanges with Slickwraps,, it appears they want a username. So I asked them to be a bit more specific, and their answer wasn’t even clear then, which leads me to believe they don’t really know. I think you can put in any username you wish, so I used my Instagram username which is the one I use for a lot of things. Honestly, I think you can type pretty much anything in there and it will accept it.
We’ve asked them on Facebook. I don’t think they expected sweepers to enter, especially ones who are picky about rules 🙂 Keep up with our conversation here and if we find out about the string we will let you know https://www.facebook.com/sweetiessweepstakes/posts/10157846462850252
They’re giving away an internship? So basically they want you to work for free for their company and THEN you have to pay taxes on it? Wow….
are all internship without pay?
to answer my own question:
Luckily for students everywhere, the White House, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, have caught on to this schemer’s dream. As a result, they’ve established regulations that control whether or not an internship must be qualified as paid or unpaid.
If an internship qualifies as a paid position, interns legally must be paid the federal minimum wage (at the very least) for the services they provide within the “for-profit” or private sector. They must also be paid overtime. Both regulations fall under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Most likely a scam…
It’s a bit sketchy but who knows.
String according to responses from their FB page means username.. username could mean Instagram or Gleam.
However, sweetie asked if someone does not have Instagram and their response was “We offer tons of ways to enter. In fact, simply liking and commenting our FB posts enters you.”
Yeh, their answer to me shows how unprofessional they are when running this giveaway. If they have a giveaway page to enter on, then how do they even keep track of the Likes and Comments and pick winners randomly. Some businesses just don’t get it!
