Hi Sweetie,
I received a call today saying I won,but then they wanted me to pay for port taxes which is understandable, but then it was an additional 250.00 for the package and when I told them I could not afford it because I am unemployed I heard her ask her supervisor something and heard him say,no money don't waste your time and she hung up,I also heard in the background the same offer being presented to many other people, thought you might want to get the word out to stay away from this one.
Are you sure it was from this sweepstakes? A sweepstakes win will not require you to pay anything. What you received was not from a legitimate sweepstakes. It sounds like it was from a timeshare company and some of them probably do represent Royal Caribbean.
James – Also, the rules for this one state that the drawing for winners will not even take place until 7/24, so the call you received must have been something else.
i "won" a cruise while playing bingo on an actual Royal Caribbean cruise and the same thing happened. Yes I really did win the cruise but then I had to still pay a ton of money for fees, port charges, gas, etc…. It ended up not being such a great "win". I ended up finding a cheaper cruise that i didn't win and went on that instead. You would have thought that since it was sponsored by RC and I was on their ship when I won that it would be totally free…not so much!!
