Did anyone get their SASE's yet?
Didn't receive any requested pieces yet. Shopped at another Rite Aid and got an instant win ticket for $2:) and 4 for 2 free tickets.
I haven't gotten any of the pieces I've sent away for yet. I've probably gotten around 100 tickets from making purchases in the stores and the only thing I've won so far is more
tickets 🙁
those are all the rare pieces i need to … i've been shopping, trying not to spend too much money and all i've won in the instant prize is a ticket for more tickets… at least 2$ would be nice. i feel like this is all a scam. those rare pieces probably don't exist.
Just got word from customer service that "bulk" mailings sent in for requests won't be honored that way. One daily request is accepted, no more than that will be honored.
I'm not happy hearing that news. I've sent out a few mailings at a time and haven't heard anything from them.
It says one per day in the rules. I received my first one back today.
I'm not happy about that either. I sent out 10 requests at once. Guess I should have read the fine print for myself instead of just reading the instructions listed above.
I sent in 20 requests for tickets all at once. I received 11 back so far (all on the same day). I am hoping I get the other nine, that's a decent amount of postage to be out for nothing. I missed the one per day in the rules, but I think it might be a good sign that they sent 11 out at once though (or maybe I just got lucky?)
Me again (Anonymous Jan 20, 2010, 11:49 am) … i just re-read the rules for mailing in requests and still don't see the "one request per day" part. Did I miss it or is the one per day request just based on what customer service told someone?
I just got 6 is anybody getting one of the two rare ones for the big prizes?
i have duplicate of most numbers any1 neeed i am living in new york so i wanna trade with any1 aroudn the area or even by mail my email is [email protected] n number is 9172937418 hit my up with any peice any1 wanna trade or i buy it money aint a problem vget at me
I sent 10 SASE's out on the first day and 10 more out a week later. I haven't gotten any back yet and I had no clue that there was a 1 per day limit. Hopefully I get some back. That would be 40 stamps down the drain…AARGHHHH!!!
I also sent a bunch of SASE's out near the first day of the contest and I haven't received anything back – I was unaware of the '1 per day' rule until now…it seems unfair that they would add this rule after the contest was posted!
The new addition to the rules is really disappointing, I do hope that they didn't just discard all of the requests, that would really stink, there is a lot of postage invested by many people.
I don't think it is a new rule. I just never put that section in above. It isn't too clear in their wording that it is truely one request per day. All they say is "receive one game ticket per day" which to me, isn't the same as "one request per day". That is why I never put it in my summary above. But, since others were having problems and had requests sent back I decided to add it.
Looks like I am out of 40 stamps. I learned my lesson. Before I drop a stack of SASE's in the mail, double check the rules. You live and you learn! 🙂
"Looks like I am out of 40 stamps. I learned my lesson. Before I drop a stack of SASE's in the mail, double check the rules. You live and you learn! :-)"
Don't feel bad…I followed the rules EXACTLY and I've only received one of the SASE's I sent out back. I sent one a day starting on the first day. I know these contests are for fun and I hate to get down on a promotion like this, but I think I'm done with this game. I've seen cashiers pocketing the tickets and handing out stacks to their friends, and then not giving them to actual paying customers. One cashier actually told me they were out of tickets when I asked for mine when I had seen her give about 50 to her friend a few minutes earlier and could still see some in her register drawer. And now they're not even sending out the one's people mailed in for 🙁
I've seen employees selling large bags filled with tickets to people right outside the stores (this is in NYC though…of course, lol). It's great that they're running a game like this, but they really need to be monitoring it better. Rite Aid is getting what they want by customers coming in and spending money to play, but it seems like most of those customers will never be able to win because of the employee cheating.
Wow! That is crazy. You sent one a day and still didn't get anything back? After this week, I think I'm done with this one too. I've wasted too much money between stamps and Rite Aid merchandise. And a NYC Rite Aid is selling them? LOL. Rite Aid definitely needs to monitor this better. I hope to win one of the cruise prizes or something.
I've sent in many requests, haven't gotten any so far and won more tickets from purchasing. The stores near me keep giving out the same tickets. Sending in requests for game tickets and Carnival Cruise Sweeps is draining. They should've had a way for us to enter the Carnival Cruise Sweeps online via receipts. We could do rebates online, why not do the sweeps that way?
Geesh, and I thought our Rite Aid employees are shady with asking customers if they could have their tickets, the outright selling is crazy.
Rite Aid needs to get on top of this, imo, it can turn in to a PR nightmare if they keep this up, I for one was really excited about the contest when it started, then began to have ill feelings based on our cashiers behavior, the situation with the mail in requests increased those feelings, now to hear employees are actually selling the tickets and giving stacks to their friends while lying to paying customers – it's just so wrong. Of course, at this point I doubt Rite Aid will do a thing about it.
Sadly, I wonder how many of these promos end up being this way and we just never hear about the abuse by employees. It definitely is not making me think very highly of Rite Aid, that's for sure. Granted in all fairness prior to this promo I wasn't a loyal customer of theirs to begin with (prices are cheaper elsewhere) but after this, even less so.
I might be a good idea if a bunch of us contacted them and let them know what is going on. Always be nice and explain that you are participating in their giveaway but that you found out that these things were going on and wanted to know if this was fair and if they were going to do something about it.
Here is their contact page http://www.riteaid.com/contact_us/
It's obvious that employees are stealing the pieces and reselling them. Just look on ebay. There is one seller that is selling several lots of unopened tickets. Each lot has 40 tickets in it and he's selling them for $90-$100! I find it hard to believe that someone who didn't work there would have 100's of tickets to sell. And Rite Aid doesn't care. I already emailed them letting them know that the cashier at my local store refused to give me any tickets when I made a purchase. They never even bothered to write back and that was a couple week's ago.
I had a similair situation in Marietta GA. After I paid she went to do something else & I had to ask her for my ticket. It's a real shame & takes the fun out of it knowing that people are cheating. 🙁
