Oh my goodness, I am SO excited to be entering this contest! My name is Carolyn Farris and I’m a stay-at-home mom living in the beautiful little community of Irishtown, NB, and let me tell you, something like this would absolutely make my day — scratch that, my entire YEAR!
Life here in Irishtown is wonderful but busy, and between keeping the house running and taking care of my family, I don’t often get the chance to treat myself to something truly special. My husband works so hard and we pour everything into our home and family, so winning this would honestly feel like such an incredible blessing for us.
I genuinely believe everything happens for a reason, and something told me I just HAD to enter this contest. Call it intuition, call it hope — I call it a good feeling I can’t shake! I’m the kind of person who gets genuinely giddy over opportunities like this, and right now my fingers are practically tingling as I type this out.
Please pick me — I promise nobody will appreciate this more than I will! Thank you so much for the chance, and good luck to everyone entering. May the best person win… and I really hope that person is me!
Hey there! I’m Carolyn, a stay-at-home mom living in the little community of Irishtown, New Brunswick, with my husband and our family. Life out here is pretty simple and grounded, and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Most of my days are spent taking care of the home and the people I love most, which keeps me plenty busy! There’s something really special about being the heart of a household, even on the chaotic days when nothing goes according to plan. My husband is my rock, and together we’ve built a life here in Irishtown that feels genuinely ours.
I don’t often do things just for myself, so entering this contest felt like a little leap of faith, and maybe a reminder that it’s okay to want something fun every now and then. Small town life has a way of making you appreciate the little wins and surprises, so even the chance to enter puts a smile on my face.
I’m just a regular person with a full heart and a cozy life in a small New Brunswick town, and I think that’s worth celebrating. Fingers crossed this is my lucky day!
I never expected that staying home would become the most demanding and rewarding work of my life. Living in Irishtown, NB, my days are shaped by the rhythms of family — the early mornings, the quiet moments stolen between responsibilities, and the deep satisfaction of being present for the people who matter most to me.
Marriage has taught me that partnership is a practice, something you choose and refine every single day. My husband and I have built something ordinary in the best possible sense — a life grounded in routine, loyalty, and showing up for each other even when it’s hard. There’s nothing glamorous about it, but there’s something genuinely beautiful in that steadiness.
What I’ve come to understand is that the contributions made inside a home are easy to overlook but impossible to replace. The care, the planning, the emotional labor — none of it shows up on a resume, but all of it matters deeply. I carry that knowledge with quiet pride.
Entering this contest feels like a small act of honoring myself and the life I’ve chosen. I don’t often put myself forward, but I’m learning that sometimes the right thing to do is simply raise your hand and say, I’m here.
Growing up, I never imagined that the quieter chapters of life would turn out to be the most meaningful ones. Living in Irishtown, NB with my husband, I’ve found a kind of richness in the everyday that I used to overlook entirely. The mornings here have a particular stillness to them, and I’ve learned to pay attention to that.
Being at home full-time has taught me more about patience, creativity, and purpose than any role I held before. There’s a certain pride that comes from building a life that feels genuinely yours — from the small routines that anchor your days to the bigger decisions you make together as a family. My husband and I have worked hard to create something solid and warm, and I don’t take that lightly.
I entered this contest because I believe that ordinary people living ordinary lives still have something worth celebrating and worth investing in. I’m not chasing anything dramatic. I’m simply someone who shows up every day, tries to do right by the people I love, and occasionally dares to hope that something good might come along unexpectedly. This feels like one of those moments where it doesn’t hurt to raise your hand and say — I’m here.
