I received an error message when I tried to enter. Did anyone get the same message?
You have to do each individual pin url, not the boards url, I did the same thing until I went back and read the rules closer.
Samantha I’m new at the Pinterest thing, I made the board and copied an item from the Old Navy site and pinned it to the board, first is that correct? Second, what exactly is the pinterest URL? I’ve tried every URL I can see and none are working. Thank you for helping me.
The Pinterest URL is the link that points directly to the pin. Once you create the pin you can click to view it. Copy the address (URL) from the address bar and submit that. If you need to go back to see it now click on the board you added it to, click on the pin and then do the same thing to get the URL
Thank you so much for explaining this. I needed help as well. First it was Facebook, then Twitter, now Pinterest and Instagram sweepstakes LOL. Times are definitely changing.
Yes, it’s crazy how fast things are changing online. I hadn’t seen an Instagram sweeps until the other day
Samantha thank you SOOOO much! It took me an hour to figure the pinterest site out and then when I thought I had it, I couldn’t enter the sweepstakes LOL. This pinterest thing is new for me too.
I wrote a post about Pinterest on my Connecticut blog that might help if you’re ever stuck http://connecticutbloggers.com/what-is-pinterest-and-how-to-use-it/
Great blog. Thanks for sharing!
Oh man, the Sweeties entry rules and Old Navys entry rules are different. : ( I hope my previous entries aren’t disqualified. Be careful!
I was following Sweeties entry rules, and I just noticed Old Navy’s entry rules are different. : ( I hope my previous entries won’t be disqualified. Be careful!
What rules are different? I copied mine from their rules page.
When I read sweeties entry rules, step 2 says “pin your favorite Old Navy…” etc so on pinterest I searched for old navy products and pinned. But when you go to the link in step 3, the Old Navy directions say to pin from a specific board, their Back to School Board. Maybe I am just misunderstanding??
That’s a great question. Now I am confused too. Please keep me posted on the answer. By the way, I just figured out last week that when you respond to someone’s posts on this site, you should hit “reply” in that person’s post so they will be notified by email that you responded. If you create a separate post, that person is not alerted. Hope this helps. Thanks.
I thought the same thing, but it says right on the submit part of the page…
PIN YOUR FAVORITE OUTFITS TO WIN BACK TO SCHOOL PRIZES…
Old Navy wants to see what YOU think is super cute for back to school. Simply “pin” your favorites from Old Navy to enter. It’s that easy!
I updated the rules on the site now. They have rules one way on the rules page and a different way on their main page but I am now going with the main page as to what is correct. Hope it helps
I will change my rules. I got my original rules from their rules document. Those conflict with what they have on the main page so I will have to assume the ones on that page are correct. Good luck
