Marlboro Black Book Photo Contest 3/17/14 1PP21+

Marlboro Black is looking to discover new talent and wants to see your best photography work. The Marlboro Black Book 2.0 Photo Contest is a two-phase contest. The first phase is a photo contest from which up to eight (8) Finalists will be determined from the entries received. During the second phase, the Finalists will travel to a location where they will take part in four (4) separate photo shoot challenges. Each Finalist will submit a portfolio consisting of photos taken at each challenge. The photos submitted for each challenge will be judged separately, in accordance with the Judging Criteria, as defined below. One $10,000 winner will be determined by the judges for each challenge.

Eligibility: US, DC, 21 and older.

Any person who has been convicted of a felony, is the subject of a pending arrest warrant, is the subject of a pending criminal trial or sentencing, is on criminal probation, or has been convicted of a misdemeanor or any offense involving (a) any crime against a person, including any crime of violence or threatened violence, domestic violence or sexual offense, (b) theft, (c) robbery, (d) burglary, (e) fraud, (f) forgery, (g) manufacture, use and/or distribution of controlled substances or (h) any crime against public order, including disorderly conduct or public indecency, or is a habitual offender with three or more misdemeanor or summary-type offense convictions, is not eligible to win a prize. Any person who won a Grand Prize in the 2012 Marlboro Black Book Get the Gig Contest is not eligible to enter.

Entry Dates: begins on October 7, 2013 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on November 3, 2013.

To Enter: submit five (5) photos that showcase your creative ability.

Entry Limit one entry per person.

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

• originality and creativity of photos submitted – 50%
• artistic breadth as evidenced in photos submitted – 25%
• cohesiveness of photos in portfolio – 25%

Eight Finalist Prizes: Each Finalist will be required to travel to a Presenter-specified location to participate in a series of four (4) photo shoot challenges from 1/17/14 to 1/20/14. Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from the commercial airport nearest winner’s home to challenge location, accommodations, and meals while at the challenge location. Finalists will also receive a camera package valued at approximately $8,120.00, which will be awarded on site at the Photo Shoot Challenge location. Camera package consists of a Canon EOS 5D Mark III EF 24-105mm IS Kit, a Canon 600 RT Speedlite, a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens, a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Autofocus Lens, a Canon Battery Grip, Canon PowerShot S110, a Manfrotto 293 Aluminum Tripod, and a Canon Gadget Bag. Finalists will also receive a check in the amount of $4,230.00. Total approximate retail value of each Finalist Prize is $15,000.00.

Four Judge’s Challenge Prize: One winner for each Challenge will receive a check in the amount of $10,000.00
