Marlboro Big Dig Answers:
- Clue #1 If you can find the tallest giant in all the land, you’ll find that the million will lie to the east. Redwood National and State Parks, California
- Clue #2 Where the West expands. The million will lie somewhere to the west of a monumental gateway to the West. Gateway Arch, St. Louis, Missouri.
- Clue #3 If you want a chance to claim a million, you’ll have to head south of the first shared international, national park of its kind. Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, West Glacier, Montana
- Clue #4 This once endangered southwestern isopod is naturally found in only one thermal spring and shares its name with the county it lives in. Like this animal, the million will be found in only one spot. And to find it, you’ll have to look further North. Sedillo Spring in Socorro County in New Mexico
- Clue #5 One cowboy put this song in his book. But he gave another man the credit for writing it. As you’re looking for the million the confusion doesn’t matter. Just go west of a historic route that shares it’s name with the credited songwriter. Chisholm Trail
- Clue #6 On the other side of this greenback, you’ll find three famous figures that roamed across the West. Only one of them, however, ever set foot in the territory where the million will be. Bison (states where bison herds are found today: California, Montana, South Dakota, Utah)
- Clue #7 On a night, when the weathers right and you’re settling down by a campfire where the millions located, you might be within earshot of this toad’s call. His feet are as good for digging as his voice is for singing. Spadefoot Toad
- Clue #8 Pull up a seat in the diner pictured above. You’re not looking for a meal. You’re looking for official symbols from eight western states. And in one of those states, you’ll find the million. California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah. I took out Nevada & New Mexico, because they were eliminated in other clues
- Clue #9 Watch the video to start a major road trip around the location. Pay attention to where you are, complete all four legs, and you’ll have the spot boxed in. Part 2 is coming up next week. Meantime, let’s ride. (POSSIBLY the Million Dollar Highway, Colorado, or Highway 12 in Utah)
- Clue #10 This town started near the turn of the century with the discovery of quartz. It quickly grew to have a stock exchange, hotels and even an ice cream shop with Alaska in it’s name. The town’s gone. You could visit where it was to take pictures, but do not for the million because it will be in a different state. Rhyolite Ghost Town in Nevada
- Clue #11 It may look like there’s a whole lot of nothing out here. But keep making tracks to complete the second leg of your journey around the location. (watch the video) starts in Colorado, then into Arizona, then ended in Utah
- Clue #12 Either You’re Here, Or You’re Not. True story. This Southwestern town celebrates its name change every year – a name that poses a choice. You could pick a side, but you’re better off walking away. You won’t find the million anywhere in this town’s state. Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
- Clue #13 Stay Awake. You may be riding shotgun, but you don’t want to miss the scenery. The final leg of the trip is coming next week. Possibly in Utah
- Clue #14 How the West was named. Two were named for a river; one was named for a mountain and a river. And one took its name from a count/ All four of these western counties share the same saintly name. But only one contains the million. Possibly San Juan County Utah, or San Juan County Colorado
- Clue #15 Road Trip 4. Watch the video. The trio around the million is ending, but if you’ve kept your eyes on the road, you’re that much closer to closing in on the location.
- Clue #16 Find the rock and figure out the route to get close to the spotIt seems as though someone once tried to chisel an entrance to this rock, even though the whole thing is made out of the Entrada (Spanish for “entrance”). Use it as a landmark to guide your exit from the highway onto the road toward the million. The Abajo (Spanish for “below”) will be above you – which is another part of the big Paradox you’re in.
- Clue #17 It’s the end of the road for clues, but your chance to win the million still awaits.Between an ancient newspaper and a pair of pistols, find the start of a route that leads to a sink full of steak. A quarter mile west is where you’ll find the location of the million. For a chance to win it, give us the GPS coordinates of that location.

how do we enter? it says cant tell them answer until 7/28
You can still click to dig. You get to choose a region on map and then 3 small squares on that map.
I figured it out. But once I selected area, it wouldn’t let me change.
Are we supposed to find the Redwood National Park on the map? Or just click anywhere?
my daughter just won the sunglasses.
So I clicked to dig in three sections, got nothing and the message read: “Come back next week and try again.” I do not know how to enter this daily sweeps.
Try again. It sounds like you did it right but the message didn’t pop up. It also didn’t pop up for me the first time. Now when I “dig,” I get a message saying, “Sorry. You didn’t win this time.”
I couldn’t get past the registration. I entered a valid email address, and it’s telling me that the information is incorrect.
We’re sorry, but Marlboro.com is currently unavailable due to high volume. Please check back soon. If you need additional assistance, please call Customer Service at 1-800-898-2888. geesh
OK so after two clues the million is somewhere between the left and right side of the map. Probably narrow down north and south sides of the map next. Guess that’s why they aren’t taking guesses for another month as to where it is….
so do i use the clues to pick where i dig? im still confused!
is the digging just random and the clues pertain to diff part of sweeps, on 7/28 where you tell them location??
ok for three days my husband and i have been digging everyday around the location that the clue provides and yet nothing. am i supposed to be clicking in that location or just randomly clicking somewhere? whats the secret?!
The rules state the instant win digging game is computer generated times. The person who plays first after the computer released a prize, wins the instant. So it is complete luck, no strategy. There are 701 computer generated times in week one. 6,666 over the entire sweepstake period. This week has 1 $49,000 dollar Jeep for a very lucky instant win player.
So it is not where you dig, it is when you dig
. Good luck, Marlboro has always had great sweepstakes.!
Got a multi tool tonight
For the last two days it has told me sorry you have already played today and brings up the area I dug 2 days ago so I can’t play. Anyone else having that problem?
I’m not having that problem but try deleting cookies and clearing the cache and try again. That usually helps me when problems arise so hopefully it will help you!
Clue #6 Answer: The Bison
i havent wont anything, tons of sweeps friends already won something! good luck to rest of ya & congrats to the winners. im hoping this just means im winning that $1mil lol.
lol……… ummm it might help to read the rules, people.
You don’t find the million by the daily digs… That’s a separate deal entirely- for daily or weekly prizes.
Here is what I found of the territories from that time period. From my research, and in not knowing what they are considering territories, there are 2 major places that either have traveled through that the buffalo were not seen. Lewis and Clark pass and Pompeys Pillar. They were on Indian Reservations. If they mean overall territories then the spanish territory is the only one. Find a map from 1803 from the lousiana purchase and you will see what Im talking about. Also, if anyone wins dont forget about me
This game is so complex and the website is so slow. I don’t know; maybe its my computer.
My conclusions so far
Clue 14 – San Juan County, Utah,
Clue 15 – south east tip of dinosaur diamond extending sw to Moab, N. to Vernal. and West to Price..
Trail Thru Time At Rabbit Valley near the Utah / Colorado Border….
Clue 16 – Jurassic Entrada Formation, Paradox Basin, and above us Adobe Peak-adobe Mountains
Clue 17 – Ancient Newspaper Rock along us 211 – Didn’t actually find the pair of pistols ( Does anyone know where they are) ….Anyway, I believe the road goes of to Beef Basin hwy 107….I think that is the sink of steak….what I can’t figure is an exact location, and if I can, I don’t know how to figure gps coordinates …Can use some help with that..
I noticed a lot of the co-ordinate answers on the final clue had a positive longitude (109) the longitude is a negative number. the positive number places you in China, so be careful with your final answer. The ancient newspaper, I believe is Newspaper Rock and 2 pistols I think is north south six shooter peaks, Hwy 211 is in between, to Bridges Jack road to Beef Basin road. Good luck
not sure if the 1/4 mile west is from Bridges Jack or Beef Basin
Correction : Bridger Jack road
anyone got the GPS coordinates? it opened today to post answer to be eligible to win the $1mil CASH!
I agree with Billie….the clue says find the START of the road that LEADS to sink full of steak… and get gps 1/4 mile from that start.
the start of Bridges Jack Road -( this leads to Beef Basin Road), so 1/4 mile west coordinates should be right…
I check the map and my coords for that road, but have gotten different answers, though all are close…
any help appreciated….
The intersection of Beef Basin Road and Route 211 is at: 38.08 -109.56.
It appears they are looking for the location ¼ mile west of there.
¼ mile west of there is Indian Creek at: 38.08 -109.57
Although I wonder if they may be referring to the no name road just south of Beef Basin on 211. This road takes you to the entrance to Dugout Ranch with is a ¼ mile off of 211 to the west. This road intersects with Beef Basin on the south side of the road. If that’s the case, the entrance to Dugout Ranch is: 38.07 -109-56.

ive seen 38.09 N 110.13 W posted online as the answer by majority of the people.
I hope the majority are wrong!
I don’t have a gps, but I have seen several answers with 38.09 N 110.13 . Can anyone verify if delrahim69 or Gena are correct?
I calculated the same, but why I’m hesitating to enter yet is unsure of whether to put latitude/longitude, N or W or just the #s themselves, also my thinking was the longer I waited the closer to the top of the barrel my answer would be to pick from. That was until I got out of the triple digit heat wave where I live and cooled off some and remembered, our answers aren’t written on paper. just akiddin
