I am nominating my sister on behalf of her son who is 5 years old and has autism. Two months after my nephew was born he developed a brain bleed so my sister decided to not return back to work which was a tough decision due to finances. Around 1 1/2 years she noticed he was different as he didn’t look at people, didn’t babble, etc. She immediately began early intervention. He was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at 3 years old. My sister has been doing multiple therapies for with my nephew over the past 3 years and he is doing great. I know this will be a very hard Mother’s Day for my sister as our mother just recently passed away.
