The most important Valentine’s Day was 5 years ago when I was asked to marry my fiance with our family and friends at a restaurant.

I received a dozen long stem roses and a heart necklace on Valentine’s Day way, way back in high school. It was from a guy who I was dating. It was a romantic gift and quite a surprise. Those were the days. 🙂

One year I received a card from my husband, along with 3 REALLY big boxes. It turns out that he had been keeping a list over the 4 years of every random book I ever said I wish I could add to my collection! There were old books, brand new bestseller books, classic books, fiction books, romance books, scholarly books, recipe books…every book I had ever mentioned wanting in even the tiniest way over the past 4 years or so. I was completely blown away and knew without a doubt that this man loves me and “gets” me.

That is a really amazing gift!

Everything my husband does is romantic and there have been many wonderful surprises over the years, but the best and most memorable are the sweet little romantic notes he leaves in my car and the flowers he buys for absolutely no reason! Amazing and so sweet!

The most wonderful gifts I’ve ever received were a rose from my sweet father when I was a teenager, and now the wonderful cards and stuffed animals from my sweet hubby since we got married almost 7 years ago. God bless!

26 years ago my husband and I were married on Valentine’s day. Still happy together! The most romantic thing besides having a wedding night on Valentine’s day and a long happy marriage is the fact that every February the shops are full of bright hearts and people involved in the romance of Valentine’s day. It feels like the whole country is celebrating our love and ever enduring marriage. 🙂
