Does a mother you know deserve a Mother’s Day surprise? “Good Morning America” is planning to surprise a deserving mom who has done something extra-special for her family, her community, a friend or loved one, with breakfast in bed, live on “GMA.” Is there a mom you know who has done something extraordinary?
How to Enter: compose one essay, of no more than one hundred words in length, responding to the following prompt: “Tell why a mother you know is so special. Has she overcome obstacles in her life? Are there people she has gone out of her way to help?”. The Essay must explain why the mother you are nominating. deserves to have GMA surprise her with breakfast in bed. Essay must be submitted in English. One photograph of your Nominee. The Photo may include other people but the Nominee must appear in the Photo. Minors must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to appear in the Photo.
Judging Criteria: Creativity (25%); overall readability of essay (25%); compelling nature of story (25%); and d) originality (25%).
Grand Prize (1): The Winner will appear on GMA for a breakfast-in-bed experience. Winner’s prize package will also include flights, ground transport (rideshare vouchers), hotel accommodations for four persons and one $500 gift voucher or equivalent. Additionally, the Winner will receive $4,157.14 from Sponsors to be used toward the Winner’s federal, state and local income taxes on the Prize; however, Sponsors make no representation or warranty that this amount will be sufficient to pay all of Winner’s federal, state, and local income tax liability, which is solely the responsibility of Winner.
