I hate it when sweepstakes have rules like this. Makes it impossible for most working people to win. I’ll leave this one to the SAHM’s.
Jodi says
I agree, I’m not entering because of that. What if you win and you’re not sitting by your phone or you can’t get to your cell phone because you’re in a meeting?
I bet there are good odds for the people who actually enter.
Liza says
I don’t work but I still rarely answer my phone. I never answer a number I don’t recognize so there’s no point in me entering this one.
jerry says
They will have your email address, too bad they won’t use it.
Shari says
Wow, No messages will be left on answering machines or voicemail systems. Seems kind of rude, they could at least give you 24 hours to contact them plus they don’t even tell you what phone number to look for. What if you are able to answer the phone but don’t recognize the number.
Kina says
Maybe just answer your phone around winner notification time…
BaylaRose says
While I agree this sweep is a PITA you can win if you make a note to answer all calls on Fri. March 15. Good Luck!!!
Julie L says
HOw many entries can we mail?
shanon hyatt says
It say’s one per day and must be mailed separately. Good luck.
Jason S says
can you mail em out all at the same time or one mail out a day?
shanon hyatt says
It says one per day so I’m assuming they have to be sent out daily and not all at one time. Good luck.
Ann McElhinney says
Since I always answer my phone, even if I don’t recognize the number, hopefully this is the one where I’ll finally win money!!! Good luck to all!

So does that mean the mail in is for “GameStop PowerUp Rewards Members” only? They don’t say but I know it’s free to sign up thats why they say no purchase nessesary. To become a rewards member you have to go to your local Gamestop location, sign up, then activate online to become a member. Sure going to be a waste of stamps if it is for Rewards Members ONLY and everyone doesn’t know that.
Sweetie says
If they are following their rules, it doesn’t say you have to be a Gamestop member to enter by mail.
Brandy says
True, but the Kmart giveaway rules weren’t very clear either, lol. Those rules said 1pp per day and then someone posted that it was only 1 per person. I hate when they change their rules in the middle of a giveaway or sweeps or don’t follow their own rules. I’m a rewards member but will do the mail in since it’s cheaper that way, LOL. Good Luck all.

I was worried about this so I emailed them, here is their reply:
“Thank you for contacting PowerUpRewards.com.
We deaply apologize for this inconvenience but yes you do have to be part of the Power Up Rewards Membership. ”
Guess I’ll be stopping at my local GameStop so my mail-ins count.
jenice gutierrez says
WOW! I am a power up rewards member and I actually took my boys to gamestop the other day and got an entry from purchase however I have not put my number on the entry. Does that matter? I have been mailing one every day!
jenice gutierrez says
IT IS NOT FREE TO SIGN UP. I believe we had to pay 14.95 or something like that for our power up card! I have been a member for a long time but it pays for me because I have two sons who are avid gamers.
Jennifer says
From their website:
Sign up at a participating GameStop
Then choose:
A) PowerUp Rewards™ for Free
B) PowerUp Rewards PRO™ for $14.99
Vera says
I was in a GameStop store today trying to sign up for Free PowerUp Rewards and the guy told me that in order to sign up I have to buy something. He also said that $1,000 prize is for a store credit only.
yamie cubias says
I went into the store to sign up today and of course they try very hard to try to sign you up to the Powerup pro. After listening to all the benefits I had to politely stop him and tell him I was only there for free account. I was able to sign up and i did not have to make purchase.
BaylaRose says
When I emailed Gamestop to ask if the prize was $1000 cash or store credit here was the reply.
Thank you for contacting GameStop.com.
The prize is to the discretion of the sponsor. We apologize however we are unable to determine the prize or prizes for this giveaway.
For more information, please see the official rules.
So we supposed to mail out entries, sit by the phone for a call, for a prize these people are clueless about? No thanks!!
Ann says
What the heck!? I had already sent in one entry when this was posted, and was about to send in another, already had the envelope ready, but not stamped yet fortunately. I came here to see if there were any updates, and first I saw the surprise membership requirement, and then I see the prize might not even be cash but they don’t even know for sure!? I agree, no thanks!!
shanon hyatt says
I paid a total of $ 16.28 to become a “Powerup rewards Pro”- I agreed to pay it because I shop there often for my kids and others-however; I was never offered the free one , nor was it mentioned and here is where my confusion comes in -The rules, information and knowledge (in regards to this sweepstake) of the employees at game stop seem a little sketchy and it’s always been my understanding that if a contest or sweeps is legit you should never have to buy or pay to enter????
