Is there anything I need to do to sign up for this, or is everything automatic as long as I already have a Discover card account?
According to what I read in the rules you are automatically signed up if you have and use a Discover card.
Just to make sure I have this correct. If you don't have an account with discover, you can still enter by mail.
Yes, that is correct.
So if I want to enter the drawing of 03/2/2010 for example, i write that outside of the envelope?
Thanks
How is it winnable if alot of people use discovercard?
Thank you
Yes, that is exactly how you write the date. Write it on the outside of the envelope on the lower left corner.
I think it is winnable because there are over 27,000 prize to be won. I guess we will have to see over time. If it appears it is not winnable I will lower the rating to good. It does go against a couple of my rules for winnable. It has 2 ways of entering and it last quite a long time. I guess time will tell.
I apologize if this is a foolish question, but regarding the plain 3×5 piece of paper — does plain mean no colored pieces, or plain as in no lines or designs on the paper? I read over the tips in the how to section and read that you suggested always using white, plain paper, but I wasn't sure if in the rules plain meant no color. At the risk of sounding very cheap (blush) I have a bunch of light blue printer paper I bought on clearance that I was going to use for contests — would using that for the Discover entries disqualify me?
I am thinking I had probably better just use white and save the blue for something else, but thought I'd ask just in case 🙂
You won't know if blue is acceptable or not because they don't tell you. You will never know what they mean by plain so I always stick to white with no lines just to be safe.
Thanks so much, Wendy 🙂 I am going to just stick with white to be on the safe side.
When it says a 3×5 piece of paper…do you have to cut a piece of paper to 3×5 or can you use a 3×5 notecard?
When it asks for a 3×5 piece of paper do not use a notecard. They want paper. You can buy 3×5 paper at Staples. It costs $5.49 for a big pack of 1,200 sheets and that will last you forever. Here is the link so you know what you are looking for. http://www.staples.com/Staples-Glue-Top-Scratch-Pads-White/product_SS163436 Get white too. The ones they sell at Walmart are gray so I don’t buy them.
wow i have been entering all these sweeps with 3×5 notecards, that would actually disqualify me? guess i am off to staples. thanks for the tip.
when it says the date per envelope-i’m confused. Can i enter more than once and how do i know what specific date to put and only one sheet per envelope is that correct? Thanx
Yes, I believe they mean you can enter once per day and each envelope has to have a different date written on the front. That is how I read it but I could be wrong
Why does a sweep not need a phone number or an email address?? That seems odd.
Has anyne won on this?
