Coast Packing Company is excited to announce their 8th Annual #LardLovers Recipe Contest! #CookingWithLard Coast Packing Company invites you to submit your irresistible original recipes highlighting the rich flavors of your family’s best-kept secret ingredient: lard.

Unleash your creativity and make this holiday season truly delicious!

Lard is a heritage fat used in cooking for generations and holds significant importance across various cuisines. Its low moisture content and high melting point make it an ideal and forgiving ingredient, especially for pie crusts. It allows easy incorporation into flour without absorbing too much moisture during baking, resulting in an unmatched, perfectly flaky crust.

Entry Period: November 11 – November 30, 2024
Eligibility: Open to U.S. residents aged 21 and older

This year’s contest features two categories: Sweet and Savory.

One entry per person per category.

How to enter the contest, please follow these steps:

1. Upload your original recipe that includes lard as an ingredient.
2. Include a complete list of all ingredients and detailed instructions between 50 and 200 words.
3. Add a clear photo of the finished dish.

Only the top recipes will advance to the next round, where Coast Packing Company’s judging panel will conduct taste tests. If your recipe is selected, you’ll have a chance to win one of four fantastic prizes
