Chiquita Ultimate Banana Recipe Contest

Do you have an original @Chiquita banana recipe that steals the spotlight at every party? Share your unique recipe for an appetizer, main dish or kids’ recipe/dessert, and submit your entry to Chiquita for a chance to win

Eligibility: US, Void PR, 18+ at time of entry.

Entry Dates: begins September 30, 2011 and ends December 14, 2011 at 4:00:00 PM PT.

Phase 1: The Submission Period begins September 30, 2011 and ends November 28, 2011 at 04:00:00 PM PT.
Phase 2: The Judging Period begins November 29, 2011 and ends December 2, 2011 at 04:00:00 PM PT.
Phase 3: The Voting Period begins December 3, 2011 and ends December 12, 2011 at 04:00:00 PM PT.
Final judging and winner determination will be completed no later than December 14, 2011.

Creating your Entry: You can chose to compete in one of the following banana recipe categories:

• Appetizers/Quick & Easy
• Main Dish
• Kid’s Recipes/Desserts

You must feature at least one Chiquita banana as an ingredient in your Recipe Submission.

Entry Limit: one recipe per person.

During the Voting Period, site visitors can review posted Recipe Submissions and cast votes for their favorites. From the point in time you cast your first vote, you can cast up to four additional votes in the next twenty-four hours, for a total of five (5) votes for five (5) different Recipe Submissions in any given twenty-four hour period within the overall Voting Period. At the end of the Voting Period, the top three (3) Recipe Submissions receiving the greatest number of votes will be reviewed by Chiquita’s Judging Panel.

Recipe Category Judging: During the Judging Period, Recipe Submissions will be reviewed by a panel selected by the Sponsor and will be judged and weighted according to the following points:

• Use of Chiquita bananas in recipe – 25%
• Photo quality and image appeal– 25%
• Creativity – 25% d) Relevance – 25%

Ten (10) Recipe Submissions in each of the Recipe Categories, for a total of thirty (30) Recipe Submissions will be determined as Category finalists and advance to the User Voting Period.

User Voting: You can cast up to five (5) votes for five (5) different Recipe Submissions per day per FACEBOOK account/email address; a day is defined as the twenty-four hour period beginning at the time of voting submission.

One Overall Grand Prize: A cooking class getaway to winner’s choice of either the Culinary Institute at Greystone, St. Helena, CA or the Institute of Culinary Education, New York, NY. ARV: $3,000.

Two (2) First Place Category Prizes: a $500 tuition credit to the cooking school or class of his/her choice and a Chiquita gift basket, ARV $575.

Twenty-Seven (27) Second Place Category Prizes: $25 Gift Card valid at the Chiquita on-line store
