Since many readers have reminded me that I don’t have this posted I am going to post the “gist” of this sweepstakes for those who don’t know about it. I didn’t post it because the rules were long and the prize list even longer but I am sure that some readers do not know about it so here goes. You have from now until August to “bank” points. In August you will use those points to enter the sweepstakes that they will run every hour.
The more codes you bank, the more chances you’ll have to win!
Beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET on 6/9/09 through 11:59 p.m. ET on 8/31/09 (“Banking Period”), visit www.Wonka.com/winprizes and follow the instructions to register and create your Game Code Account. Once you have created your Account you can bank up to 10 Game Codes per person, per Account, per day through 11:59 p.m. ET on 8/31/09.
Limit one (1) Account per person, per e-mail address, regardless of whether more than one person uses the same e-mail address. All Game Codes become null and void after 11:59 p.m. ET on 8/31/09.
BONUS CODES: Entrants who opt in to receive future communications from WONKA® will receive ten (10) bonus codes credited to their Account. Limit of ten (10) bonus codes per person, per Account. Bonus codes will be additional to the daily limit.
PLAYING GAME CODES IN THE HOURLY SWEEPSTAKES: Access www.Wonka.com/winprizes beginning at 12:00 a.m. ET on 8/1/09 through 11:59 p.m. ET on 8/31/09 (“Hourly Sweepstakes”). There will be seven hundred and forty-four (744) Hourly Sweepstakes, each conducted separately. Each will run for one hour/sixty (60) minutes. Log in to your account and follow the on-screen instructions to enter your banked Game Codes starting at 12:00 a.m. ET 8/1/09 through 11:59 p.m. ET on 8/31/09. You must register and be logged in to your Account to enter. You can enter as many banked Game Codes as you like into the Hourly Sweepstakes of your choice; however, you can only play your banked Game Codes in the current Hourly Sweepstakes.
HOURLY WINNER SELECTION: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held approximately 15 minutes after the end of each Hourly Sweepstakes, from all eligible entries received during that Hourly Sweepstakes Entry Period.
SECOND CHANCE SWEEPSTAKES/DRAWING: In the event one (1) or more Hourly Sweepstakes prizes is unawarded at the end of the Sweepstakes Period due to zero entries received, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible Account holders who have played at least one (1) Game Code during the Banking Period. Limit one (1) Second Chance Sweepstakes entry per Account. The Second Chance Drawing will be held on or about 9/9/09.
Eligibility: Promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 13 years of age or older.
Prizes: See chart in the Official rules. There is a total of 744 prizes.

Many of you are playing the Wonka Every Hour, Every Day Sweepstakes and some of you are having problems with your codes disappearing.
Update! Wonka called me today (8/5/09) and I found out that they have pretty much solved the problem of codes being wiped off your account. You will probably need to delete your cookies for that site one more time. However, if the problem does come back you can contact them and they are very nice and will work with you to make sure your codes reappear.
I also found out that winners are picked at the end of each hour and if you look at the prizes to the left of the current prize on the site you will see the winner’s names. Actually is the first part of a winner’s email address they use to log in with.
The full winner’s list won’t be up until the end of the month and the winners won’t be notified until the end of the month either. That is standard with a sweepstakes. Remember, this is not an instant win game. It is a sweepstakes so that is why you don’t get notified instantly.

Every time I go to register it tells me that the display name is taken. Is there as time that you cna register. I have done this with several names and then I went to jumbled names and it did the same thing. What is up?

Try logging in. It did that to me too and I realized I had entered a sweepstakes with one of their parent companies and was already registered. Wonka is owned by Nestle so maybe you registered with one of their other sites or entered a sweepstakes on one of their other sites.
Same thing happened to me and as Wendy said, I just tried logging in and for some reason it worked. I must have entered some other contest by their parent company previously.
I have been trying to get game codes from wonka emailed to me today and for some reason the site is not sending me the codes and i know that i have given the correct email.
Did you check your junk mail folder? I got my codes sent to me within seconds.
Use the same code over and over. I've been doing this for many days and it works. Use just one code, paste in the sections. Reuse the code over and over.
There are problems with logging in and long waits, but you can bank lots of codes and hopefully win a good prize.

I had the same issue signing on this morning…they really should just let you know you are already registered vs. invalid user name ;(

Same thing here. Every user name taken, and I know I tried many funky user names I know are not taken.

I contacted Wonka about the problem logging in this is the response hank you for contacting Wonka® Promotion.
We have identified an issue that is preventing some consumers from registering on wonka.com. These users have already created usernames with their email address on other Nestle Brand web sites. Since Nestle uses a unified consumer database across all of its brands, the system will not allow them to register on wonka.com with an email address that has already been registered under another Nestle Brand. We are in the process of adding a feature that will allow these users to successfully register. We appreciate your patience.

Has anyone else lost all their codes? I was up to 70 & logged in today & it says I have zero. 🙁
I have also lost all of my codes. I was up to 240.
The only thing I can think of is that they reset them for everyone since they were having a problem with certain customers logging on.
I guess to make it fair???
This would only be so if everyone's codes were reset.

Yup, I've lost all of mine as well, I had 170.
I bet if you check again they are all back. Mine were gone yesterday and I still put in the code to get it up to 10 and today they are all back plus those 10.

It took 2 days, and I also emailed them using the contact us form, but they are back. My last 2 nights codes aren't there…..but I'm happy anyway!
Does anyone know if you are emailed if you win shortly after your chosen for the hour, or do they not notify you until the end of all the entries?
