Eligibility: Sylvan Learning Forward to School Algebra Challenge is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (and the District of Columbia) and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are at least thirteen (13) years old at the time of entry.

Timing: The Promotion begins on August 17, 2009 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on September 30, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

By Text (Sweepstakes only): You can also enter the Sweepstakes by playing a text algebra game during the Promotion Period. To play, use a two-way text messaging capable device to text SYLVAN to the short code 47201 and you will automatically receive a response text message containing an algebra problem. Solve the algebra problem and text the answer back to 47201.

By Mail (Sweepstakes only): To enter the Sweepstakes without playing the text algebra game, hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address (if any), and age on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and mail it with proper postage to:

You will receive ten (10) entries into the Sweepstakes for submitting your mail-in entry and entered into the Sweepstakes drawing; entrant must take no further action to obtain the ten (10) entries. Limit: One (1) 3″ x 5″ piece of paper per envelope. All mail-in entries must be handwritten. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 1, 2009 and received by October 7, 2009.

Entry Limit: Each participant may receive up to two (2) Sweepstakes entries and one (1) Instant Win Game play per day during the Promotion Period through the online method of entry. Each participant may also receive up to a total of ten (10) Sweepstakes entries during the Promotion Period through either the text message or mail-in methods of entry.

Tell A Friend Program: After you play the Instant Win Game, you will be invited to submit the names and email addresses of up to three (3) friends who must meet the eligibility criteria for the Promotion. Each person that you refer will receive an email notifying them about the Promotion. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing relationship. Each day you refer at least one (1) friend with a valid email address, you will be given one (1) additional Sweepstakes entry. During the Promotion Period, you may receive up to one (1) additional Sweepstakes entry per day through Tell A Friend Program.
