Sweeties Sweeps 1 Year Birthday Giveaway

Sweeties is one year old! Don’t I look good for my age? Yes, Sweeties Sweeps just hit the one year mark and it’s been quite a ride. Last July I didn’t even know what a blog was and had no clue what I was doing. Although I have been online since 1996 and was a computer consultant and web designer for 10 years, I still didn’t know what blogging was and that it could be used to reach millions of people on a variety of topics.

With a lot of trial and error my site began to grow. I never had the intention of writing a blog about sweepstakes because I figured there were plenty of them out there already. But, I also felt that none of those sites were a place I could go and have fun. Sweepstakes is a fun and exciting hobby. The other sweeps sites I have used are, for lack of better words, boring. I am a visual person and love color and design.

Because I was also a computer instructor and have written many computer lesson plans I just started to write step by step instructions for entering sweepstakes. Originally my site was found by people searching for answers to their sweepstakes question. When this site was 2 months old I was asked by Lifetime TV to write about sweepstakes for their site on their Sweeps Hunter Blog. Then I was contacted by the Tyra Banks show in March (it aired in May) and because of reporter, Rachel Zupek, the site was featured on CareerBuilder, AOL, MSN and CNN in April.

Well, I guess my site was needed because now it is a thriving community of approximately 9,000 members and we just hit the 1 million visitor mark. Readers are participating in the sweepstakes chatroom 24/7, through comments and by email. Members are helping each other learn this fun hobby and lots of people are winning great prizes everyday. From this site the Daily Digest site was launched and the Sweeties Secret Site for restricted sweeps. Since I get bored easily and am a “glutton for punishment”, Sweeties Swag was born to allow me to post freebies and talk about any other subject that doesn’t fit on this site.

Sweeties Birthday Giveaway #2

Rockignition Designs has designed a t-shirt logo for me and Sweeties T-Shirt are now available for purchase for $10.00 each plus $3.00 for shipping. The order form page will be set up soon. The t-shirts are black and the logo is white. Click on the picture to view it larger. Right now Large and X-Large t-shirts are available for purchase with Small, Medium, and XXL available by special order. If there is enough interest these t-shirts will be available in other colors in the near future if there is enough interest.
