Spring is here in Connecticut and I am so thrilled because being cooped up in the house for 6 long months is enough to drive a person crazy. I need light and air and flowers and sun! What I don’t need is dust and dirt so that means it’s time for Spring Cleaning.
Spring means it’s time for me to open the windows and watch the cat hair fly around the house. Yep, those darn long hair cars of mine are growing their own cats I think and I find myself chasing rolling cat balls down the hallway.
That’s Kitter – she’s not as innocent as she looks and is cause of some of the hair balls in this house.
P&G sent me some Spring products to try out and my favorite has to be the new Swiffer Duster Extender with the head that bends and handle that expands. Now I can clean the cat hair off the fan in the kitchen – yes, there’s even cat hair up there. I am loving this thing and will be using it a lot.
The handle expands so you can adjust it to be a long handle or a short handle. With the long handle I can reach all of the way up to the ceiling and on top of the fan blades.
Another thing they sent me was Cascade Complete Packs for the dishwasher. I’ve been wanting to try these and now that I have I think I am hooked. They are these little packettes that you put in your dishwasher instead of measuring out soap. No mess and they smell fresh. Another winner
The last thing in my box was Vicks Nature Fusion for coughs but since I haven’t been sick I will store that away until I need it.

I live in Florida so it doesn’t get as cold as some of you but the pool still gets cold during those winter months. When it starts getting warmer I like to start cleaning up the backyard, bringing out the tables and chairs, clean the pool & dream of warm weather ahead 🙂
I absolutely love being able to open up the windows and let some fresh air in. I also like to be able to wash up the blankets and hang them outside to dry.
I open up all blinds , windows and doors when I clean. I turn on my favorite tunes and my chihuahua ( Letty) lays by the glass door feeling the warm sunshine on her. It’s actually fun to clean when everyone pitches in 🙂
I do a thorough deep cleaning, room-by-room, including laundering mattress pads, bedspreads, febreezing mattresses. I try to have my bedroom windows open a crack all the time to let the fresh air in. I pay special attention to overhead light fixtures and ceiling fans. Once it is all done, I pull out my deck furniture, have a seat outside and sip on a glass of iced tea while enjoying the fresh smells inside and ouside of my home and planning what to barbecue up for dinner. Ahhhhh, life is good in the spring/summer.
There is nothing like the feeling of fresh clean air and fresh clean house! I love it. Especially love the smell of clorox in my house and starring at my sparkling clean floor. What a feeling! Better than winning the lotterry! (maybe?)
