Spring is here in Connecticut and I am so thrilled because being cooped up in the house for 6 long months is enough to drive a person crazy. I need light and air and flowers and sun! What I don’t need is dust and dirt so that means it’s time for Spring Cleaning.
Spring means it’s time for me to open the windows and watch the cat hair fly around the house. Yep, those darn long hair cars of mine are growing their own cats I think and I find myself chasing rolling cat balls down the hallway.
That’s Kitter – she’s not as innocent as she looks and is cause of some of the hair balls in this house.
P&G sent me some Spring products to try out and my favorite has to be the new Swiffer Duster Extender with the head that bends and handle that expands. Now I can clean the cat hair off the fan in the kitchen – yes, there’s even cat hair up there. I am loving this thing and will be using it a lot.
The handle expands so you can adjust it to be a long handle or a short handle. With the long handle I can reach all of the way up to the ceiling and on top of the fan blades.
Another thing they sent me was Cascade Complete Packs for the dishwasher. I’ve been wanting to try these and now that I have I think I am hooked. They are these little packettes that you put in your dishwasher instead of measuring out soap. No mess and they smell fresh. Another winner
The last thing in my box was Vicks Nature Fusion for coughs but since I haven’t been sick I will store that away until I need it.

I love to garden!
I’d like to get all the windows cleaned and the carpets. This is the time of year when I like to get my summer clothes out and put the Winter ones away. And turn off the furnace and open every window!
Get the patio furniture cleanded and ready along with the bbq. Also clean the house from top to bottom.
I put on swimsuit and go to the pool!
i open the doors and windows and fire up the grill!
I do start spring cleaning from top to bottom. but this weekend we did a major yard cleanup, leaves, fertilizing . . . got so much done.
Take the plastic off the windows, wash windows and gradually prepare for full on everything top to bottom.
I do a MAJOR window wipedown/clean!
Open all the windows and let the fresh air in!
I open the windows and air it out 🙂
The first thing cleaned is the windows to enjoy the sunnier days, then the ceiling fans since they get used again…from there the list is never ending
Get the deck cleaned out and the summer furniture cleaned up
I want to plant pretty flowers to give some color to the drab existence that had been winter (well, maybe not so much drab this year, but still.)
I plant some herbs so I can have fresh basil, cilantro and mint in my summer foods
I am still laughing about chasing cat hair balls down the hallway, I am so glad I am not alone. I like to plant pretty spring flowers in my planters so I can look at them on my way in and out of the house. It makes the yard look happy.
The first thing I do is dust for cobwebs and prepare my spider repellent mixture because my backyard is connected to a cemetary. When it gets warm, they travel and set up shop on the back of everyone’s houses/apartments. Then I clean from top to bottom and leave my windows open to get the stale air out from all winter and let some new fresh, spring air in.
I start digging out yard sale items to declutter the house. Then move on to cleaning from top to bottom.
Go thru clothes! Put away winter, get out summer and put together a donation of clothes we no longer need or fit.
I clean my house inside out. Start with each room from the walls to the the floors closets furniture and anyything in between!
When it’s starts to get warm we clean up the patio furniture and clean the playground set and pool
Ah, spring cleaning. I love finally being able to open the windows again, but those gentle breezes just love to stir up all the cat hair I’ve missed with the broom. LOL!
I plant seeds indoors for the vegetable garden as well as watching the cat hair fly around…
the first thing i do is open up every window in the house and let that fresh air and sunshine in. then i put out the spring and easter decorations.
they give me hope. i wash all my curtains and drapes and windows too.
I open the windows to air out the house.
Going through the house and purging, I get tired of seeing stuff laying around so I throw it out or give it away.
