Spring is here in Connecticut and I am so thrilled because being cooped up in the house for 6 long months is enough to drive a person crazy. I need light and air and flowers and sun! What I don’t need is dust and dirt so that means it’s time for Spring Cleaning.
Spring means it’s time for me to open the windows and watch the cat hair fly around the house. Yep, those darn long hair cars of mine are growing their own cats I think and I find myself chasing rolling cat balls down the hallway.
That’s Kitter – she’s not as innocent as she looks and is cause of some of the hair balls in this house.
P&G sent me some Spring products to try out and my favorite has to be the new Swiffer Duster Extender with the head that bends and handle that expands. Now I can clean the cat hair off the fan in the kitchen – yes, there’s even cat hair up there. I am loving this thing and will be using it a lot.
The handle expands so you can adjust it to be a long handle or a short handle. With the long handle I can reach all of the way up to the ceiling and on top of the fan blades.
Another thing they sent me was Cascade Complete Packs for the dishwasher. I’ve been wanting to try these and now that I have I think I am hooked. They are these little packettes that you put in your dishwasher instead of measuring out soap. No mess and they smell fresh. Another winner
The last thing in my box was Vicks Nature Fusion for coughs but since I haven’t been sick I will store that away until I need it.

open the windows 🙂
I try to get the inside of the house done first, so that when it is finally nice outdoors I can work outside instead!
The first thing I like to do when it starts to get warm is open up the doors and windows to get some fresh air flowing throughout the house! It’s so refreshing after a stuffy winter.
I clean and reorganize the closets!
I clean and reorganize the closets!
I clean all of the curtains and mini blinds.
I plant flowers & put the winter clothes away!
I open the windows! Then clean all the window sills.. lol
Start room by room, throwing things out, cleaning out closets and drawers of things not used. Mr clutter always seems to sneak back in but we do our best to keep it away.
Spring ,just the word inspires you to be and do your best!
I love to open the windows and let fresh air in!!!!
I have the carpets cleaned and open the windows! Love spring!!!!
oh spring clean one year i will be rich enough to hire someone
In the spring i love to open the windows and after a long winter that means cleaning the glass; curtains, blinds; frames and tracks of the windows.
Start going through the closets and throw out lots of winter clothes that I am sick of lookinat at!
When it gets warm I break out all the cleaning supplies. We have hardwood floors and mopping them is a bit of a chore, especially with 4 dogs. But in the spring I can open up the windows and doors and really mop the floors until they shine. That’s enough of an incentive for me to do the dusting and vacuuming and the whole place smells like Murphy Oil Soap, Pine-Sol and … CLEAN. Honestly, the coffee break I have at the end of it is so well deserved I don’t even feel guilty for indulging in some Days of Our Lives 🙂
I get the carpets and windows cleaned.
The first thing to do is start collecting old furniture or clothings and donate, recycle and or throw away (extremly wornout cloths only). After that my home starts to feel free and spacious
I do a top to bottom cleaning, might as well get it done!
I start with cleaning the walls and floors.
I like to spring clean on those bright sunny days as it motivates me. I straighten up and then deep clean.
My kids and I do a “weed” of all the toys they are no longer playing with and clothes that no longer fit. I love the feeling of more space!
My husband and I take a full day, including the kids, I clean the house from top to bottom (with the kids help) and my husband does all the outside work. We also gather old toys and clothes that the kids outgrew and we have a big yard sale. I haven’t started my cleaning this spring, I need to get on it lol
I start inside and clean out the closets, then from the bedrooms I move into the rest of the house cleaning top to bottom. Then onto outside to do some yard work and planting. I have three boys and a hubby so I stay busy cleaning.
I get out all my Spring decor.
