Spring is here in Connecticut and I am so thrilled because being cooped up in the house for 6 long months is enough to drive a person crazy. I need light and air and flowers and sun! What I don’t need is dust and dirt so that means it’s time for Spring Cleaning.
Spring means it’s time for me to open the windows and watch the cat hair fly around the house. Yep, those darn long hair cars of mine are growing their own cats I think and I find myself chasing rolling cat balls down the hallway.
That’s Kitter – she’s not as innocent as she looks and is cause of some of the hair balls in this house.
P&G sent me some Spring products to try out and my favorite has to be the new Swiffer Duster Extender with the head that bends and handle that expands. Now I can clean the cat hair off the fan in the kitchen – yes, there’s even cat hair up there. I am loving this thing and will be using it a lot.
The handle expands so you can adjust it to be a long handle or a short handle. With the long handle I can reach all of the way up to the ceiling and on top of the fan blades.
Another thing they sent me was Cascade Complete Packs for the dishwasher. I’ve been wanting to try these and now that I have I think I am hooked. They are these little packettes that you put in your dishwasher instead of measuring out soap. No mess and they smell fresh. Another winner
The last thing in my box was Vicks Nature Fusion for coughs but since I haven’t been sick I will store that away until I need it.

Clean my house with window open and music going!! I also bring all the summer stuff out of the basement….that day is coming soon!!!!!!!
OH.. it has to be cleaning all the windows. I’m like a little girl with her nose pressed against the glass, longing for it to be nice enough to be outside.
I get the herb garden going.
I open windows and begin to clean top to bottom and begin to get rid of things no longer needed.
1st thing I do is put away the snow blower and get the lawnmower ready for some action!
The first thing that I do is open the windows and deep clean my children’s rooms. I like to declutter and donate or sell their toys and clothes.
First I open the windows and then start the cleaning!
Pull out the patio furniture and get some BBQ going !
I put the snowshovel away and bring out the patio table and chairs. I also start outside yard work such as cleaning out flower beds, planting seeds, and getting the garden ready!
Clean everything out, and donate everyones too small clothes
I wash windows inside and outside!
The first thing I will do is try to kill the moss in the lawns. I may lose the battle! Oh, and all the spider webs in the high corners of the ceiling.
Well, I live in Phoenix . . . it’s always warm. So I do yardwork year round and try to keep the house less dusty.
I clean all blinds and drapes to prepare for the windows being open
I give my home a thorough cleaning from top to bottom.
I get so excited when the weather gets warm here in Georgia, it’s been nice for a few weeks now. My first spring pleasure is getting the outside pots and planters ready for flowers and especially, vegetables! You cannot beat fresh vegees all summer long. The house is next…windows, walls, dusting, floors, and of couse, the dog hair in places you’d never expect! I love spring! Now if they would just leave the “time” in Spring Forward mode all year I’d be in heaven.
First thing I do is open the windows….ahhhh…..fresh air. Then I start going through closets and drawers and getting rid of things by either donating or ditching. That alone gives me a lift.
Open the windows and the blinds to let in all the fresh air! And I seem to be dusting endlessly…
When the weather gets warmer I always shut off the heat and open the windows. I feel that when that happens we can truly get winter out of our place. Also by doing this I don’t have to get a fuzzy head from smelling the fumes anymore. Of course, when time is right out planting in the garden I go.! 🙂
I do a little spring cleaning at a time. Having surfaces wiped down and dusted is really important. You can see all the dirt and dust when the sun comes shining in. I also love the spring candles and sprays on the market and love to use them regularly when it starts to get warm.
I clean top to bottom, scrubbing, sanitizing, and organizing every instrument in detail listening to my ipod tunes. I also mow the lawn and thodoughly clean my car.
Throw the windows open to get that stale winter smell out of the house! Then I like to get the deck ready. I usually buy flowers way too early and then regret it but I can’t help myself!
I plant seeds and clean out all the closets!
take down and clean curtains
I get out and get the front porch cleaded off and plant some flowers. I also start some seeds but am very impatient so go ahead and get som plants for color on tne porch. Love Spring!!!!!!!!!!!
