  1. well as a disabled mom of 3 boys ( 2 special needs) . being born and raised in vermont . i make it a point to have my kids experience the outdoors . as i was raised in the country and now live in city here . i also plan 2 camping trips every summer . we pack everyone a plastic large ziploc bag of clothes and and beach towel / whitch these work great so clothing doesnt get musty or damp due to morning dew and such .then use the gallon size ziploc and mark with each persons name and contents so easy to repack and make sue you dont forget prized posessions. also great way to store shampoo and such and protect delicate electronics such as hand held game system from moisture overnite. my sons love it and its one thing i can still do and enjoy with them and act like a big kid myself !! ill be the first to light smoke bombs of play laser light tag and hang the glow sticks in the top of te tent after kids go to bed to double as a reassuring nite light after they have worn it all evening!! and the best is making my corn on the cob in the coals of the fire and baked potatoes and many other goodies on the grill. this year we will be tentin it as our pop up camper i bought was stolen , so i have buy alot new suplies this year and why we didnt go last year .

  2. We get outdoor ready with sunscreen, swim diapers, towels, sunglasses, and lots of water!!

  6. I get ready by making a list of everything I want to take with me! On that list I put everything we will need! As I pack it, I scratch it off the list!

  7. I get ready for camping by making sure I have waterproof matches, a compass, a coleman lantern, lots of bug spray, extra water and yummy marshmallows.

  8. I’m a fan of sunglasses, plain and simple. You can’t go outdoors without them AND sunblock!

  9. I get plenty of bug spray. There are way too many mosquitoes here in Southern Louisiana. Then we get the fishing poles and tackle ready.

    I would love to win this one. It would be great for outdoors but it would also be great if we get another hurricane.

  12. by planning and getting the kids involved with the activities.. we Love to swim so this is usually not a problem

  16. I get outdoor ready with buying supplies to make smores!! No camping trip is complete without them!

  18. I get ready by Febreezing all the sleeping bags and tents and airing them out, checking all batteries, and equipment. Then I make the shopping list for all the supplies I need and go to Kmart!

  21. I’m going camping at the beach in a few weeks and have all my gear ready in a corner of my basement so when it’s time to go I just load up.Pre planning and pre buying everything is the way to go. It gets expensive if you buy it when you get to where you are going

  22. We try to prepare a pack the night before so we don’t have to worry about it. We make sure to bring the bug spray and sunsceen! Plus plenty of snacks and water and extra sets of clothes.

  23. I like to be spontaneous, so all outdoor gear is stored in big Rubbermaid containers. Load car, add food and water, and GO!!!!
