I make sure to test the blow up mattress for holes! (past bad experience)
We go to Aldi and stock up on junk food for a great time for outdoors!
My kids could use this to camp out in the backyard
We actually get ready for summer during spring cleaning. Summer stuff gets moved to the front of our shed so the kids don’t have to dig to find the tent and jump ropes or the hose.

We get out all the stored camping gear and go to the lake to fish. A lantern would come in handy.
We are getting ready to go camping in our pop up camper. We store the camper at our house and open it a couple of weeks before to see what we need to pack. We then close it and open it when we need to pack stuff inside. When we go camping, everything should already be packed
we get ready by packing up our winter clothes and pulling out our summer clothes. We uncover the grill and clean it and wipe down the patio table along with cleaning out the pool.
I get outdoor ready by getting the yard mowed and hedges trimmed. Then we get the pool setup and I get the tent handy. Right now, the tent is set up in the back yard for backyard camping.
I go to kmart and stock up.
I get outdoor ready by going over a check-list of must-haves to make the outdoors feel more like indoors 🙂
New tent $150 bucks, camping gear $200, fishing gear $75, food $100. wood and lighter fluid $30, seeing your sister stand too close to the camp fire and catching her pants on fire, priceless!!! 🙂

We bring out the doggie pool.
We get outdoor ready by putting everything out and making a list. We usually have to get something new (stove, mattress pad, food, etc). We pack and re-check and get going down the road… have to get there early to catch the trout!
I’m outdoor ready with sunglasses by day and OFF! by night.
We get out door ready by making a list. This ensures we have everything we need and it cuts out on the stress of wondering “Did we forget the…”
We make a check list and head out! Love the outdoors and camping, it’s our most favorite family adventure.
Get everything out, open up and air out tent, check everything over and repair or purchase new, make a list figure out food pack up and go
I get outdoor ready with lots of beverages, sunscreen and bugspray. It gets really hot and buggy here in Forida.
At the end of our camping trips, we always pack our camper down with clean sheets and towels, and non-perishables that can withstand the SC heat. I tuck dryer sheets under the beds and cushions too. When we are ready to pack again, our preperation takes less time because of the work we did at the end of our last trip. As the article said – I also pack all food in resealable containers. Even though we are in a camper and not a tent – bugs, especially ants, will find their way in if food isn’t cared for properly.
How do you get outdoor ready? By packing the sunscreen and the bug repellant:0)
I always leave my stuff in the car (sleeping bag, towels, extra clothes etc.) so I’m prepared anytime.
I get ready with a cooler a bag and a tent.
We pull out the bug spray. We also like to get fun outdoor lights. This year I got some pink flamingos. Such fun.
I buy supplies like marshmallows, charcoal, and skewers! 🙂 Thank you!
