Do you have a favorite Disney character? I have several and I find new ones all of the time. Believe it or not, my mother was watching Peter Pan on TV with Mary Martin the night I was born and she named me Wendy after the Wendy character in the Peter Pan story. Yes, that was back in the day before color TV. There have been many versions of Peter Pan since then and Disney has made it into a cartoon but that original version always stuck with me.
Some of the newer characters and movies are now my favorites. I love, love, love the Pirates of the Caribbean series and Tangled is also a new favorite. My son recently saw the Avengers and he said that was very good. You don’t have to be a kid to like Disney characters and there are so many, usually you find one that connects with you in some way.
I don’t think we ever really grow up and Disney is one of those things that brings out the kid in all of us. I guess sometimes it’s not that we want to be a kid but we like to keep the dreams alive that we had when we were children and Disney evokes those memories and thoughts. We want to believe that there is a happy ending and that magical lands exist.

My favorite character is Princess Tiana! I’ve been a huge Disney fan my entire life and grew up when Menken Disney movies were at their peak. It was a return to my child hood to see an animated princess and an assertive one at that! I have always loved New Orleans and jazz, so it was love at first to see it on screen.
Winnie the Pooh because he is such a sweetheart.
love ariel
I would have to say Mulan. She doesn’t get enough notice in my mind but I love that she is a strong female.
Phineas, both my daughter and I love his unlimited positivity and genius. Every day is a new adventure!
donald duck, the voice alone sells it
My favorite Disney character is nemo, because he is such a little fish with such a big adventurous, brave attitude. He reminds me of my 4 year old son they are both small fish with big fish courage
I love Aerial – she captures your heart with her beauty, innocence and sweet voice. She’s my granddaughter’s favorite.
My favorite character would have to be Belle. I felt that I could relate to her the most out of all the princesses. She was brave, intelligent, and caring. She was brave when she risked her life for her father. Her intelligence can be see throughout the film and emphasized by her love of books and reading. Her caring side can be seen when she looks past the claws and fur on the Beast and see him as a person who she started to love and care for. I wanted to be like Belle when I grew up, and hope to continue looking to her as a role model throughout my adulthood.
Belle is my fave Disney Princess!
Rapunzel in the Tangled movie. I love the way Disney didn’t make her a shrinking flower! Sometimes daughters need to follow their own dreams and be independent.
my favorite would have to be ariel… she’s a rebel and won’t take no for an answer.. and that last seen in the little mermaid gets me every time.
It has always been minnie for me 🙂
growing up it was always donald and that fiesty temper of his. being grown up it is now what ever princess is available to put a smile on my daughter’s face. one day we’ll have enough saved up so i can take her there like she wants to meet her ‘princess friends’!
As an adult I have to say my favorite Disney character is Buzz Lightyear because when Toy Story came out in 1995 I was just 8 years old, my brother was born that year. I, as with all the characters (EXCEPT Woody at first) fell head over heels for the mysterious new toy that amazed us all! I thought I was really going to like, MARRY Buzz in real life… Well, apparently I figured out that will not happen. BUUUTTTT, just a few years ago I took my son to Disneyland and Buzz was there, I already told my son how I thought I would marry Buzz. Well… My son cannot keep his mouth quiet and he told Buzz all about my “dreams” when I went to snap a picture of them, when I was done taking the picture and started to wave good-bye Buzz called me over, grabbed me by the arm, took my camera and gave it to the assistant person with Disneyland, spun me around and got down on one knee and held my hand. HE TOOK THE PICTURE! As if he was proposing!!!! I was slightly embarrassed and turned all red in the face. I thanked him and that made my day… MY YEAR! Through TSA my baggage went with my camera in it that had that last day of Disneyland and our final day at the beach and it went missing from there on, so I can only picture that picture in my head. =( I always tell my son “To infinity and beyond” as I have always told my baby brother. To me it just reminds me to keep on keeping on!
My adult favorite has to be Mickey. He is a leader, has the sweetest girlfriend and really knows how to throw a party. Thanks for the chance to win!
Rapunzel in Tangled definitely. I love how brave, determined, and strong-minded she is. She knows exactly what she wants in life and those are great qualities to have. I also love Flynn too. He could be so stubborn and then romantic too. They are a perfect match. Loved the whole kingdom and floating lantern scenes, and it is my daughters favorite too. 🙂
My favorite has always been Dopey. So adorkable and clumsily endearing, what’s not to love?
Arielle is my all-time Disney favorite even though I love most Disney characters. She was silly and brave, beautiful, curious and had a heart full of love. She ended up with the best of both worlds.
Rapunzel in Tangled – she’s so spunky!
My favorite has always been Pinocchio! His father loved him no matter what! Pinocchio used his “Conscious as his guide, something I try to live by daily!
My favorite is Tigger!! He’s so much fun! The wonderful thing about Tigger is ‘he’s the only one’!
Always Mickey, like you I have many favs, I particularly love the new princesses that they’ve come up with, but nothing takes me back to my childhood or reminds me of the joy of disney like Mickey Mouse<3
I’ve always been a fan of Goofy. The voice and mannerisms crack me up.
I really love Roo and Kanga from Winnie the Pooh. My son, almost 17, was always so sweet and so inquisitive. When he was old enough to talk I started calling him Roo. He calls me Mama Roo (not Kanga haha).
I loved your story about Wendy!!!
