Tell LLBean about the outdoor experience you’ve always wanted and describe the gear or classes that can help you get started and you could win 1 of 366 $500 LLBean prizes! One winner per day will receive a gear package worth up to $500 (366 winners total)

Sweeps Rating: Good (take a little extra work but worth it for the prizes they are giving away)

Eligibility: open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (excluding Florida), the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are at least thirteen (13) years old at the time of entry.

Entry Dates: begins on January 17, 2012 and ends on December 26, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. ET

Please note that all submissions will be posted to the Get Out(fitted) Gear Giveaway tab on the L.L.Bean Facebook page.

You may also upload a video or photo to accompany your Submission but only the essay portion will be judged for purposes of this Contest.

Entry Limit: Each entrant may enter the Contest up to twelve (12) times, one time per Monthly Entry Period.

Submission Guidelines:

• must be in text format
• must be no longer than 6,000 characters in length
• must be in English
• cannot have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind or exhibited or displayed publicly through any means

Three Hundred Sixty-Six (366) Prizes (one per day): A prize package consisting of L.L.Bean products determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (based on content of winner’s Submission). Maximum retail value: $500 USD. Prizes are nontransferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Prize Limit: One prize per person.

Winner Determination: After the conclusion of each Monthly Entry Period, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select the potential winners (1 for each day during the Monthly Entry Period) from among all eligible Submissions received, based on an application of the following criteria:

• Creativity (33.34%)
• Expressed need for product/classes (33.33%)
• Reflection of the outdoor spirit of L.L.Bean and goal of inspiring the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts (33.33%)

Non-winning Submissions from each Monthly Entry Period will not be eligible for subsequent Monthly Entry Periods. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than the stated number of winners, if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Submissions.

Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified by email, mail or phone no more than 40 days after entry of the Submission.
