This back to school season Kleenex is supporting schools by giving 100 schools $5,000 towards an educational field trip
Eligibility: US, 18+ w/Facebook account
Entry Dates: begins on June 29, 2011 and ends September 14, 2011 at 11:59:59 pm CT
How to Enter: visit www.facebook.com/Kleenex and click on the “Like” button to like the page and then vote for one of the Qualifying Schools (you can only pick one school and you can’t change it after you choose it)
ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS: In order to qualify for participation in this Program, the school must be an accredited Kindergarten through Grade 12 School (public or private) located in the 50 United States and Washington DC. Home school educators are not eligible to win a prize or be considered a qualifying school.
Entry Limit: one registration per person.
(100) Prizes: a $5,000 check paid to the Qualifying School that can be used towards school field trips
Drawing Date: the one hundred (100) Qualifying Schools that received the greatest number of Points will be selected as eligible to receive a Field Trip donation. In the event of a tie, the Qualifying School that first obtained its final point total will be eligible to win. Starting September 15, 2011, an administrator and each potential winning school of donations will be contacted by phone, mail or email with instructions on how to claim the prize.

What a nice thing for Kleenex to do! It’s just too bad that the small rural schools that could really use the help won’t have votes enough to win. I guess they’ll have to keep taking kids to farms and apple orchards! 😉
