I’m hoping to get more gift cards so I can afford a stroller and car seat set. this contest has been a real lifesaver!
I received one button today – spent $300 – came home, entered the number on the back and it’s not going thru – just noticed it’s a 7 digit # – my button only has 6!!!!! Needless to say, I’m ticked, but whatever!
I just entered a pin that I thought only had 6 letters. After looking at it with a magnifying glass I noticed that it wasn’t an “m” but an r and an n touching each other. Very hard to discern.
I keep winning certificates.
I hope to win a giftcard!
Congrats to all the winners!
Lynn its no purchase neccesary.. you can just get them from the cashier free.. they usualy give u 2 pins or more. I entered 4 yesterday and all loses… hoping tommorow is better…
The people at my local JCP refuse to realize there is no purchase necessary. They will only hand out 2 pins after a purchase.
They have little cards by the register that tell you about the promotion. Flip it over to the back where it clearly stats “No Purchase Necessary”. Tell them by requiring a purchase, it makes it a form of gambling and unless they have a gaming license they are breaking the law. I would speak to a manager and make sure they brief all employees. THAT IS A BIG NO NO!!!
Print out the rules, highlight the place where it says “no purchase necessary” and show them.
Ours has stopped giving 2 per person because they said that people are abusing it and getting too many (they are running out).
we gone thur so many buttons, not one winner yet 🙁
I think it has to do with the time of day you enter. I have been entering around 1:30 and 3pm every day and have gotten nothing but losers. I have heard the people entering late at night are consistently winning. I do not believe the “codes” are unique winners. I think the prizes are computer generated to be awarded at select times. Just my personal opinion.
Liz, I think you are right. I noticed in the rules that they are giving 1 grand prize trip away each day. Can’t do that unless it is timed.
my family and i entered 8 codes today, 3 were winners. so far we are at 25$ hope to win tomorrow!
I won a 250.00 ecard on the first button I entered. I live in KY.
Has anyone received their codes by email yet? I sent some in (they closest JCP is about a 30 min drive) and I haven’t received any codes by mail/email yet
No- I’m still waiting on mine too.
Has anybody won in the evening?
I’ve played morning, afternoon, and evenings, and I have not won anything at night, even when rolling into the 12- 2 am slot. Our wins are coming mid-morning through the late afternoon.
My local JCP is almost out of buttons. They had big bins full of them at each register but last night there were only 2 registers in the entire store that had any buttons whatsoever. I was told they are almost out.
I wonder how the promotion will proceed if they run out of buttons prematurely. Guess the codes will be available only by mail-in request.
Hi i have sent away for game pieces since the day after thanksgiving and i have not received any in my email yet,it says within 7 calendar days, what calendar are they using?Any info would be very nice.Thanks.
I sent in for 8 codes two weeks ago as well and have heard nothing.
its funny, i think they are timed as well. until today, i have generally been entering all of my familys codes late at night (2AM EST) and i get at least half of them as winners. to date we have over 100$ in holiday certificates. Today i entered at at 12pm EST and all were losers. :/
WOW! I’ve been sending for the codes in the mail daily and just received a bunch of codes in my email! Both codes today were $ 10.00 winners!!
Anyone having trouble entering tonight? For some reason I only got it to take one of my codes. I tried three others but keep getting a message that something is wrong and to reenter the code again.
won first time with button,$10. GF
Hey, all–if you enter a button code and an immediate response in red print comes up saying “Sorry You Are Not a Winner” this means that the code from your button was already used (and put back in the JCP button box!). I was told by a clerk at my local JCP that there was an employee at another store who had been caught entering codes–presumably for another person–then dumping the used buttons back into the box. 🙁
Thanks thats good to know i have a stack of like 12 from he same store that have said that, i have sent individual emails for each code and received 1 code back been about a week and a half. Is there some way to report or should we report things like this?
and those 12 were from different days, one day I entered 4 that got that msg, my jcp is in the mall where i work i get 2 new buttons every day, i still only enter 2 codes per day.
Are the holiday certs stackable?? I won two $5 and one $10. Thanks!
Unfortunately they are not.
I love this store just as much as I love my son haha n doy get me started on Ellen , I love you to pieces
booo…my jcpenney is almost out of buttons! but i can’t complain, i’ve won $60 in JCPenney gift cards (or whatever they’re called!) and a $5 starbucks gift card. These $5 and $10 JCP gift card things have put so many presents under my tree for cheap to free!! Love this sweepstakes!
does anyone know if we can stack the gift certificates? I won a $5 and $10, I wonder if I can make a $15 purchase…
No it’s 1 per transaction. I have had employees do multiple transactions for me though.
At the beginning of this game, I was winning $5 or $10 gift certificates more than half the time…maybe even 75%. Now I’m hardly winning anything…..like maybe 10% of the time? Not that I’m complaining;)
I LOVE LOVE this game! I have won 2 $50 e gift cards, 1 $25 e gift card, and countless 10s and 5s. I literally bought all my sons stocking stuffers with their money and have also purchased 3 birthday gifts for my two nieces and one nephew – and still have both my 50s left!! My one and only JCP is like 2 miles from my sons school – I literally make a daily stop there to make purchases and collect buttons. I’ll be sad when this one ends — it’s my new routine.
I don’t know what I’m going to do while my daughter’s in preschool. Each morning I went and got more buttons and shopped with my $5 and $10 certificates!
he either!! Haha. That is what i did while my son was in kindergarten…daily. Well, until the next one! =)
HAS ANYBODY MAILED REQUESTING CODES BY MAIL.STILL HAVEN’T GOT ANYTHING IN MY EMAILS.
Wow! My mom just contacted me and said she was a 2nd chance winner of one of the trips valued at $8,000.
Wow, nice, congrats to your mom!
