Official Rules: US, Canada, Void QC, 18+. December 3 – December 17, 2019. One entry per person per day.
Photograph Required: you must upload a photograph of yourself when you enter for purposes of confirming identity and for publication in the event that you win a Prize. Submission of the Photo will not affect whether or not Contestant will win the Grand Prize
You will need to submit written statement of no more than approximately 1,500 words answering the questions: “What would winning the Spot the Dot contest mean for you this holiday season?”.
Correctly identify, the Green Dot Ornament which appeared on the Show’s episode broadcast on the date of entry into the Contest. Each Green Dot Ornament and corresponding answers will be valid during the Contest Period from 12:00am PT on the day of the Show’s broadcast until 11:59:59 pm PT that same day. If Contestant enters an incorrect answer, Contestant’s entry will be disqualified. The Green Dot Ornament will change each day of the Contest Period.
Judging Criteria: 33.3% on creativity, 33.3% on originality, and 33.3% on appropriateness to the theme of the Contest (i.e., “What would winning the Spot the Dot contest mean for you this holiday season?”).
Grand Prize (1): $50,000 in cash from Green Dot Bank
Audience Seat Treat Prize/Bonus Daily Prize (11 – one per day): winner will receive the the gifts given to the studio audience on the corresponding episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show “12 Days of Giveaways” gifts. Each Audience Seat Treat winner will receive the gifts that correspond with the day their Statement was chosen. The winner will be chosen daily who has the greatest number of votes from the Statements submitted that day.
What? On Ellen today she said, ‘just watch for green dot message, and enter message on her site for chance to win $50,000. No mention of a photo AND essay.

Second day I uploaded picture, wrote something and tried to send it – it came back I needed to agree but to what? Where? I have spent 2 days and got no where.
I did not see the green dot for today, December 4. what is it??
I tried to send my comment and uploaded a picture but then it asked me for my Facebook and Instagram name or whatever and I didn’t have that info so it wouldn’t let me upload it.

I can’t enter because I don’t have a twitter or instagram account! I’m old so no I don’t have either.
Just finished my entry and usually entry forms would have a red * next to it if its required. It let me enter my info, essay, and photo without the need to enter social media accounts. Did it on mac computer.
