One would think that with nearly a million people residing in Alaska that the US would be a little nicer. Because we are not contiguous does not mean we are not a part of the 50 united states.. one of those darn stars are ours. Larry King should be ashamed and just earned himself a few less viewers.
My special Larry King story took place in spring of 1999 when we were
living in Tamchi, Kyrgyzstan on Lake Issyk Kul. We were trying to polish
our Kyrgyz language skills. A former Russian teacher asked to talk with me
and when I showed up she had a living room that she hesitated entering. The main use was her “parlor” where she had a piano for teaching and a table for
teaching English. Later after we had had some tea and talked, she showed me
the living room to see her prized possession. Perched in a chair was a magazine article on Larry King.
She proceeded to tell me there was a man she could love and did I know him.
I explained that his talk show was on CNN and that he had just gotten married
again. She was very disappointed but asked a lot of questions about you!
