Upload a photo of your small appliance in need of an upgrade and submit a caption of 200 characters or less explaining why you deserve a small appliance makeover. Please Note: Small appliances which qualify for Submission are listed here.
Entry Limit: one Submission per day per e-mail address, provided each Photo depicts a different small appliance in need of an upgrade.
CONTEST JUDGING CRITERIA:
For Semi-Finalists: judged by a qualified judging panel from September 29, 2013 through October 3, 2013, based on the following judging criteria and percentages:
- creativity and originality (33.4%)
- quality of Submission (33.3%)
- how well the Submission shows your need for a small appliance makeover (33.4%)
The Qualifying Submissions with the top fifty (50) highest overall scores will be deemed the Semi-Finalists.
For Finalists: The Semi-Finalists’ Qualifying Submissions will then be available on the Web site from October 4, 2013 through October 11, 2013 where the public can vote for their favorite Qualifying Submission from among the Semi-Finalists.
Limit one vote per person per day. The ten (10) Semi-Finalists with the highest overall number of votes cast during the Public Voting Period will be deemed the Finalists.
For the Grand Prize Winner: The Finalists will then be judged by a qualified judging panel from October 12, 2013 through October 14, 2013 to determine the Grand Prize winner based on the judging criteria outlined for Semi-Finalists above.
One (1) Grand Prize: A small appliance makeover; awarded in the form of a $1,000.00 Best Buy gift card.
Nine (9) Runners-Up Prizes: A small appliance upgrade, awarded in the form of a $300.00 Best Buy gift card.
Prize Limit: one prize per person.
