Before you enter you should know that if you win one of the hunting trip, you’ve must be able to go November 25 through December 1, 2017 to Chama, New Mexico. There is no cash value. And since this is for serious hunters only, Grizzly wants to test your knowledge. Only those receiving perfect scores on the quiz will advance to the next round – a video submission of no longer than one minute. For those who do advance to the video round, all videos must be uploaded by September 5.
Official Rules: Tobacco Consumers, open to US, DC, 21 and older, who are experienced hunters and physically capable and legally eligible to obtain, possess, use and own a hunting license, shotgun or rifle under federal, state and local laws and regulations where the elk hunt will occur. Begins on August 8 and ends on September 5. One entry per person.
There is only one correct answer to each multiple choice question. You will not have the ability to correct any incorrect answers after you click “Next”. You must answer all multiple choice questions correctly in order to proceed to Round 2 of the Contest. After successfully answering all Round 1 questions correctly, you will advance to Round 2 of the Contest and will have an opportunity to submit a video entry for an opportunity to win. If you are not ready to submit your video after successfully completing Round 1, you may return to the Contest page at a later time to submit your one minute or less original video explaining “what the concept of Fair Chase means to you?”
Video Judging Criteria: Differentiation from other Entries (originality, unique approach or point of view) (50%); and clarity of communication in the Entry (cohesive story) (50%). Obvious use of a published statement on the subject of fair use will result on a lower score with respect to the “differentiation” criteria.
Ten (10) Grand Prizes: An elk hunting trip to Chama, New Mexico. Trip includes: ound trip coach class air transportation to a major commercial airport near Chama, NM with regularly scheduled commercial flights close to winner’s primary residence (as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion). Sponsor reserves the right to provide a $300 travel allowance in the form of a check in lieu of air travel if winner lives within a 200 mile radius of Chama, NM; round trip ground transportation between airport and hotel; 6-day and 5-night accommodations at a lodge/hotel in Chama, NM of Sponsor’s choice (room tax included; but room service, meals other than specified herein, telephone calls, tips or other incidental costs and expenses are not included); a Welcome Package consisting of items determined at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, valued at approximately $1,300, which will include a backpack, insulated bib, insulated parka, gloves, boots, socks, hat, and assorted snacks; catered meals during the stay in Chama [breakfast/lunch/dinner]; 5 days of guided elk hunting expeditions (expedition company will provide all elk hunting equipment during the expedition); if the winner harvests an elk during the hunting trip, Sponsor will pay to ship one pair of elk antlers and up to 50 lbs of elk meat via a carrier and shipping method of the Sponsor’s choosing (the remainder of the harvested elk meat will be donated to a local charity of the Sponsor’s choosing); and $3,500 money in the form of a check (which can be used to help offset some of the tax liability incurred from the trip).
