I have a dirt backyard and it’s very depressing to look at. I am a single mother of five children who wants a pool and a swing set. I want a bar-b-que and a hot tub so I can relax. For the backyard to be landscaped with exotic trees and flowers indigenous to the region would be fantastic. It would be the ultimate backyard instead of wishing for a pool one day! Please make my wish come true!!! Thank you!

HELP!!! I just found out about the sweepstakes & I am so excited . My husband, John passed away on Mar 16, 2014, and we were suppose to work on the backyard. It is horrible looking. He was sick for 3.5 months, before the Lord took him home. I am 63 yrs old with back and knee problems, but I have been trying to work on the yard some. The people that rented our house for one year had taken my rocks I had around a flower bed (not very pretty) and made a place to burn stuff. So I have been setting on a stool (which is so hard to get up with bad knees and back, but trying to take all the burn stuff out of the fire bit. I had been using a sift to get all the nails out of the pile. I am almost done, but OMG!! It is hard on me. I can’t not tell you what it would mean to me to have a backyard makeover. Thanks for letting people like me enter the sweepstakes…Sue.

This is just a heads up. The rules say 2 entries per week, but the entry page is displaying a message after entry that says to come back and enter daily. I e-mailed e-prize about this discrepancy and they sent me a message back saying it is 2 per week, and they are updating the entry page.

I just found out about the sweepstakes. I have never done this before, so I have never won anything either. You can’t win if you don’t play, this was my fathers favorite saying. I have a yard that has flagstone. Last year we got a above ground swimming pool and it broke down on one side and messed up a part of the flagstone area. So it would be so nice to have a small wade pool for grand kids and a Jacuzzi for the old folk. No sob story just wanting to stir up some fun.

I am excited about a chance to get my backyard make over. When my husband went into the hospital everything took a backseat. He was in ICU 81 days and died of a brain tumor.
I tried to fix it up myself and herniated my L4. I had surgery and I am limited to what I can do.
The backyard looks like I feel abandoned. I don’t need anything fancy. It would really cheer me up to see a pretty backyard.

What a dream it would be to have my backyard a safe and fun place for my children and dogs to play! We purchased this home in febuary and were married in april. My husband works full time on the road traveling so most the upkeep lies on my shoulders. Please help! !

We don’t have a cell phone in the house, so I guess I’m unable to enter this contest. My yard is full of very tall weeds its all the ground cover that will grow, we have a beatiful maple but former tenent tried to build a tree house in it and nailed boards dirctly to the tree and caused damage. My neighbors built a nice fountain put down new sod and planted very pretty flowers.I’m sure they hate our yard. I live here with my mother who has maculer degeneration, she says she can still see things but they all look bizar. She used to be a gardner to the point that she canned her vegitables yearly. I’m agoraphobic every once in a while I can get myself to the back yard but not often so besides not having the money to fix it, having the people to fix it is also a problem. But I can see it in my visions a very county back yard. Homock tire swing privacy fence rock garden creeping thyme, irish moss, climing vines gentle flowering grond cover fragrant herbs a beatiful chunk of nature over grown in the right way to be an oasis in the city, it will get there with or with out this contest but with out a budget it will take years.

I would love to have this backyard makeover for my husband as a surprise. He has worked two jobs for about 12 years. He has worked hard to take care of his family and put our two children through school. Many weekends have gone by where he was working and not able to be off and enjoy family time. What a wonderful way to surprise him with maybe a place to grill out and some trees for shade.
He would be totally shocked. I wouldn’t even know where to start with a project like this so having some experts that know what to do would be WONDERFUL!!!

We moved into my 4 bedroom house in 2008 and the following year my mother, sister, my 2 brothers, sister-in-law and nephew suffered an unfortunate financial hardship due to the economy and job loss. The loss of their employment caused the loss of their homes for my family and my husband sister was unable to pay the rental home. We opened our home to our family. We had to stretch every penny to be able to house and feed everyone. My husband had to sacrifice the bar patio we had to enclose the bar patio to use as storage for our family’s belongings. We have not been able to enjoy our back yard since 2008. When we would go to our back yard our boarded up patio is such an eye sore that we can not enjoy and relax in our own backyard especially when we have family and friends over. We just finally cleared the patio is no longer a storage as of last week, however the patio is infested with termites. We started some construction however we are limited in funds.I am very happy you have this sweepstake I would love very much to give my husband a beautiful back yard and bar patio so he may enjoy. My husband sacrificed his personal space and patio for 5 years for my family I would like to surprise him with a backyard make over. My husband is such a wonderful man with a huge heart for welcoming our family in need and for making the best of the little we had to make it work for everyone.

My husband and I just closed on our first home together August 13, 2014. We just got married November 2, 2013. So we are still in our newlywed phase. My husband currently is in the Colorado Rockies Organzation in the minor leagues. So he’s gone 6-8 months out of the year. I closed on the house by myself, and thankfully got all moved in thanks to his cousin and his wife. So home projects are hard to get done when he’s hardly ever home. Especially when it’s just me. The previous owners of the house almost closed on the house about a month before we bought it, and the buyer asked them to removed the patio. So we have a wonderful size yard, but it needs ALOT of work! We have 3 dogs and both of us have large families so we want a place for the dogs and a place to entertain when people come over. So right now I just sit out in the grass to play with our 3 dogs, and it’s not really ideal. I would like to have some type of place to sit and play with them. Since my husband is home only about 4 months we constantly have people coming to see us and then the holidays all of our families come in town and we really would love to have an outdoor place to invite our family over to. Winning this would be such a huge blessing for us, and just another way to make our first house to feel like home!
