I WON! $2,500… I WON! (I think) Email was received today, 01/13/14 at about 5 PM EST.
I think that someone else might have won, but you only have 72 hours to respond and claim the prize… which is why I was just contacted now. There’s a tiny chance the email is a scam, but the contact information for where to claim the prize is to a big company in California that deals with the distribution of prizes and judging contests. I will find out for sure soon. You’ll know for sure by seeing my name on the winner list which will be published by the end of January 2014.
Just came back to let anyone that read my last response know that I actually did win the $2,500 ‘2nd place’ prize. It’s actually third place… Grand Prize was $25,000… ‘1st place’ was $5,000.
I have always had horrible luck with drawings, even when I have a large amount of entries in a bowl for something like a school gift-basket give-away. Which is why I was floored/stunned I won… not to mention thought it was a scam, since I seem to ‘win’ 20 contests per month (via scam artists).

I didn’t mention to even say anything about TiVo… and I’m not trying to make this a commercial, but TiVo devices are great. I love the both of them. You can fast… fast forward through three minutes of commercials in less than 5 seconds. I don’t know how many times I’ve found myself missing something on radio and reaching to rewind and listen again… only to realize it’s not TiVo and I can’t do that.
Anyway… just here to say that you actually can win in a sweepstakes.
