Wow, what an amazing contest to enter! This would be a dream come true to win. We are expecting our 3rd baby in March and currently live in a 700 sqft cottage. We have been aspiring to add on but money is an issue of course. Going to enter daily and send up some positive thoughts along with that! We are all itching for some “space”, I feel for my oldest daughter, who will be 7 when baby comes. I would love to honor her with her own room and space to practice her hula and piano practice in peace and quiet!

Hello All. I am a loyal fan of HGTV and their shows and can’t make it through my downtime without my HGTV on in the backround! My husband and I just came off of a 10 month journey trying to find our forever home, or at least one we’ll be in for a while and start our own family. It was one of the worst experiences we’ve faced thus far in our married life and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. We made 20 something offers on homes and lost them all due to extreme bidding wars and investors coming in and gobbling them up with all cash offers. The process was an emotional roller coaster as we would get attached to a home, offer over the list price, play their silly games, only to come out losing in the end again. After all that we finally have an offer accepted and a set closing date on a home we’re very excited about, and luckily we were smart in stayed in our budget. We would love the opportunity to make it amazing with a new design and nicer finishes so we can focus our time on work and living our lives. We’ll be waiting by the phone on December 4th. Good luck everyone! =)

I leave in Miami Florida and went I buy the house I was working, I got laid off on may this year and I was trying to save money to remodel my kitchen and my roof is in very bad condition and have no husband or help from any body. Now I apply for disability because I have rheumatoid arthritis and my health in very bad condition. I pray God the I win this sweets take.
Elaina says
Let’s just say that our house was poorly constructed in 1994, has been a money sucking trap, and is in dire need of attention. Add to the poor construction, that my husband and I have become disabled, care for young adopted children, disabled sister and elderly father. I just lost my beloved mother unexpectedly so I don’t have energy or money to do a remodel/repairs. As much as my family could use the help, I pray whoever is in the most need wins. Somehow, I believe it will work out because this house is not what really matters. My mother and love ones are what matter. Doing what is right while in this world matters too!

I graduated college this spring and was lucky enough to find a job in these tough economic times. Since then, I have bought a home and moved in with my fiancé. The house needs a lot of updating and repairs and student loan payments make them very hard to accomplish. It would help us tremendously to win this sweepstakes an start our lives in a wonderful way. Thank you for this amazing opportunity. Good luck to everyone else that has posted their story!

My husband and I had carpeting installed years ago and was told it wore like a dream – a nightmare is more like it. Our kitchen is sad and tired and we have paneling in our family room. What a wonderful opportunity for some lucky person 🙂 !

F you saw our house you would give us the makeover! Oh my, where do I start? Hmmm. Well the kitchen and Living room have wall paper on all the walls. The fireplace between the two spaces is ugly brown with dark panelling behind that begins in the L.R. Extends into the kitchen! No dish washer, no microwave, mis match cabinets, different flooring and….on and on ! Lol please help! We sure hope we get that makeover! With 100,000 we could probably do the bathrooms too! Of course they have wallpaper too. 🙂 lol we would hate to have to remove that wallpaper by ourselves and paint everything, HELP!

My husband and I live in an apartment community. Our dream is to have a representative from HGTV call us and saying that we won’t the Don’t Hate Renovate Sweepstakes. Our apartments don’t have he normal breeze ways. You,come enter thru and glass door into the hallway.
We have signs up sat saying that their oxygen in use in our unit. But, people still smoke in the hallways. You can even smell the cigarette in our apartment unit. Then back in March of 2013 some teenagers were smoking pot in the laundry room at the end of the hall. That dropped my O2 reading that hole weekend.
Plus, in January of 2013 & the end of May going into the first part June was hospital with pneumonia, asthma, & chronic bronchitis. Because of second smoke from other residents in our apartment building.
But, if we won’t the Don’t hate Renovate Sweepstakes we could but a single family room. So, we if won we could purchase a single family home. Please Help us!

Our family really pray and hope we win this sweepstakes. My husband bought our old family home after my father died and has been trying his best to get everything up to code, because it’s a very old house built in the 50’s. We have so much work to do and we know this will take away a lot of our worries and a lot of stress from my husband. He works so hard to make things right for his family and this would truely be the help he needs. Pleas Help Us!!!!

I really need this make over. I have bought 2 vacant lots, one one each side of my house. Empty and vacant due to the 2009 economy melt down of incompleted subdivisions. This would be a dream come true. A once in a lifetime fairytale. Turning an empty spot into a diamond
Dana says
Perhaps I’m slow. I’ve been entering these sweepstskes every day for a long time now. Im just now getting the sense that there’s a perception that whoever submits the best list of woes wins. Well I’ve certainly been around long enough to know that I’m not the worst off person in the world. However, having lived in chronic pain myself for over 10 years, 1st injuring my back in 89 leading to a failed surgery in 03 the house certainly has slipped into disrepair with little money to do anything about it. Anyway I seriously offer BEST wishes to whoever wins. The house is in dire need of new roof, bathroom, kitchen and flooring upgrades

My family really needs this renovation. I am a stay at home mom, and my husband works very hard to try and make ends meet. Our home is a old family home built in the early 50’s. My husband took all his savings and purchased the house at a decent price, knowing he had a lot of work to do. For my husband I know that it is so stressful, because for the last three years we have had the house there has been issue, after issue, after issue and my husband has gotten loans, title loans and so much more to keep this house I so wanted hm to get for our family. We took care of my father until he passed in this house and I can tell you so many stories.
I can say that we truely deserve this, our floors are startng to cave in, water leaks after water leaks from old piping and I can go on. But as I read there are so many people that have the same problems we have. This would really make our day much brighter. My husband got me started watching HGTV and DIY, we have been watching it together for over ten years of our marriage. Please Help Our Family improve a house that has been in my family since I was born…Please!!!
