I thought Id let you know that the link to the History.com FMJ sweepstakes is broken on the Facebook side of it. This trend of forcing people to join Facebook in order to enter a contest has just been made even more ridiculous since the entry form seems to be bugged and doesnt work. I caved in and made an account just to enter the History Channel FMJ contest, only to be frustrated by it not connecting me to the sign-up form. It didnt even seem to register my “like” of the site not to mention send me to the preview or contest form. Its extremely annoying.
They dont require purchase to enter these contests, but forcing you to signup to a site like that isnt any better. The “follow us” links arent an issue, but this trend where you have to “like” them on Facebook in order to even get linked to promotions/contests/sites is an insult at best.
It shows a lack of respect for the fans/consumers. This trend is why alot of people I know dont bother with alot of online promotions and sites that we otherwise would like to. Its a never ending succession of links, half of which are broken, to place after place that want your contact info.
At least theres still some sites like this one that have remained responsible for bringing adds, promotions, and links to a user friendly environment, for the most part. For that Id like to thank you. (and for letting me vent my frustrations) Thank You

Erik, I just entered the History sweeps with no problem. Many times the problem is the browser and not Facebook. Try a different browser if you can

that’s BS i need a facebook account to enter the contest???? sorry but it’s not gonna happen. i hate facebook and refuse to make an account. i wish i could just sign up on history channels site, but nope. guess i’m not getting the armor. maybe i’ll get lucky and the person that wins it will throw it up on Ebay. or i guess i could ask some of my friends to sign up for me.

Total BS! You gotta be 18 to play. I’m 17, I can go into walmart and buy a rated R movie, or buy a rated M games. Why!?!
