  1. Just won a $15 code : )

congrats! they changed something, before i just bought amazon cards with codes but now u cant use full amount. they put hold on $1 i think. SUCKS!

      • Really? They keep a dollar of your “win”?? That’s pretty rotten. No other sweeps/game does that!
So, that person that won the $15, only won $14? You can’t buy $1 Amazon gift codes, so what can you do with the $4 left over???? GEEZ.

        • Jeremy Mauney says:

You acctually CAN buy $1 Amazon Codes. It’s not that camel is taking away a $1, it’s something with Amazon/Paypal that they put a $1 hold on it to test it and make sure it’s valid. You’re supposed to be able get that extra dollar after a few business days. They explain it in the official rules. I always just buy a dollar less than what I won ( $14, $24, $49) and it always works for me. It’s does suck that they have so many problems with having ppl reddeming their wins, but, ya can’t complain… It’s free!

      • Thank you : ) I wasn’t sure if there was a $1 charge so I just purchased something that was $14.

  2. I never go through paypal with Amazon. I just go on my account, then enter the money as a new credit/debit card. Then I buy an amazon gift card and send it to myself using that new credit card to pay for it. Then when I get the amazon email that I got a gift certificate, I enter it in my account. A little complicated, but it works. Done it lots of times now.

But thanks for the info about paypal.

  3. I bet that’ll be a class action suit in the future. Amex is facing one right now.

  4. I was told by the camel folks in Canada that it is the way the money is put on the ecode. I was told if the amounts are wrong, and mine have been to call them and they will reset it. I have had transactions declined due to the fact that it is Canada vs US funds. So, after calling and getting it reset, it is good to go. It’s not that they are keeping funds, but they are inaccurately added from my understanding.
