Taco Bell is giving away 5,000 in the Unlock the Box game. You will need a unique code to play and you can get that with a purchase of a Taco Bell Big Boxes meal, through the mail or wait until March and you can request a free Taco Bell game code online.

Sweeps Rating: Good (there is a second chance drawing that you get in even if you play once)

Eligibility: open to individual legal residents of the 50 United States or DC, age 18 or older (19 in AL or NE) as of entry

Entry Dates: begins on January 26, 2012 and ends at 11:59 PM (ET) on March 11, 2012.

How to Enter: three ways

Instant Win Game:

Unlock the Box Challenge: submit a photo or video that shows us “what you would do to win a Playstation®Vita system. In order to participate in the Challenge, visit unlock.tacobell.com to register during the Promotion Period and then follow the instructions to enter the Challenge.

Code with Purchase: A unique 12-digit official code is required to play the Primary Instant Win Game. Codes are available at participating Taco Bell restaurants on specially-marked Taco Bell Big Boxes during the Promotion Period, while supplies last.

Entry Limit: one Game #1 Play per person/email address/household/Cell per day regardless of the method of play.

Challenge Limit: one Vote per person/e-mail address per Submission allowed per day during the Promotion Period. The top three (3) eligible Submissions each week of the Promotion Period (that receive the highest number of valid Votes) will be determined as the Weekly Prize Winners pending verification. Voting resets each week; Votes from a particular week do not roll over. For purposes of this Challenge, a “week” begins at 12:00 am on Monday and ends at 11:59:59 pm on the following Sunday for all weeks except the first week which is 11 days, beginning Thursday January 26 and ending Sunday, February 5th.

Five Thousand (5,000) Prizes: a PlayStationVita prize pack including a PlayStation®Vita 3G/Wi-Fi system, a PlayStationVita game, a 4GB PlayStationVita Memory Card (valued at no less than $19.99), and a choice of a second PlayStationVita game (valued at no less than $29.99). ARV: $379.96 each.

Prize Limit: one prize per person from all games combined.

Second Chance Drawing: All prizes which remain unclaimed after 3/29/12 will be awarded in a Second Chance Sweepstakes, assuming a sufficient number of Second Chance Drawing Sweepstakes entries. Winners will be determined in a random drawing from all non-winning Plays from both Game #1 and Game #2 on/about 3/30/12. Winners of a Prize in Game #1, Game #2 or the Challenge are not eligible for the Second Chance Sweepstakes.

Second Chance Prize Limit: one prize per person.

  5. Nothing for me on this sweeps, of course I never win anything when it comes to electronics. Still have that iPad on my waiting to win list, LOL.

  6. apparently you can only request one free code per IP address a day.. so I guess that means one per household, not one per person.

  7. I requested a code using the AMOE and when I tried to enter it, I received the message that the code has already been used. What? I thought the codes that you requested by email were unique codes. Ugh, I have read that some people were having problems with the codes being used already. Guess I will have to try again tomorrow.
