Scam Alert! Update on Freebie I posted
Add to your Sweeties Sweeps Favorites ListI posted a freebie that was giving away a Free baby blanket and toy from babiesonestep.com. I found out that this is a possible SCAM! Do not request this. I am sorry that I posted it and hopefully you will get this message. I have deleted the freebie information.
From what I read it is only a “possible” scam and there is no real proof that it really is but I took it down just to be safe.
It appears that the site was just looking to get people signed up for the purpose of harvesting emails to send more spam. The site has only been up since early this month there are only 3 pages on the site.
This freebie has been posted all over the web so I wasn’t the only one tricked. If you see it posted on another site please warn them to take it down.
I am sorry for the inconvenience. Other than the spam you might get you shouldn’t have any other problems because they only ask you for your name, address, phone (which was optional and I didn’t put this) and this information is readily available online.
