Fix Problems Printing Online Coupons
Many of the coupons that you see on this site and around the Internet are Bricks coupons. You can tell if the coupons are generated from the Bricks service if you see bricks.coupons.com in the address.
Sometimes there are errors and the coupons won’t print. The screen comes up blank and the words, Please Wait… or something similar shows up on the screen.
If you can print successfully without errors then you don’t need to change anything. This article is to help those who come up with errors or cannot print coupons online.
Here are some simple things you can do to fix that problem:
First you want to make sure the coupon printer plug-in is installed. When you click a link to print the coupon you will get a screen that looks similar to this. If the plug-in is installed the Print Now button will be at the bottom. If it is not installed the button will probably say something like Install Plug-in.
Second, if you get one of those messages simple change 2 characters in the URL in the Address bar to make it work.
Here is an example of a Bricks URL:
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wg&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY
Do you see the wg in bold in the URL above. Simply change whatever shows up in the URL you are given to the follow depending on your browser:
- Firefox: change to wg
- Internet Explorer: change to wi
- Safari: change to vi
Now this is not an exact science so you will need to experiment to find out which code works for you. But changing the 2-digit characters in the URL will make them print.
Try it and see if it works. If you have other suggestions or find something else that works for you let me know.

Thank you for the help… I have seen this suggestion all over the internet, but for whatever reason, I STILL CANT PRINT!! I have done everything there is to do… Coupons.com is useless to email… they never respond or give useless standard form emails. Sorry for the rant, but this just seems so silly that people can’t just install, find coupon, click print and be done!!
sorry… anyway, now call me silly, but I have to make sure EXACTLY if I am doing something wrong.. I get to the print screen, go up to the address, change XS (i use safari on mac) to VI and then do i click print??? The reason I am asking is, because any time I try this, it automatically changes back to xs… I have tried hitting return after i change it, does same thing. goes to that annoying screen with the guy telling me that a printer setting is wrong.. which there isn’t anything wrong.. ugh! If it goes to this screen, should i change the XS to VI and click print again.. doesn’t seem to work… any other suggestions? i am fit to be tied… i think i have more hours into trying to print coupons than i do shopping with them!! LOL!!
Sorry so long winded.. but i can’t stand this… I have tried firefox too and was successful 2 times 1 night.. whoopee… LOL!!!
